I listened to some powerful stories that others shared, and I recalled a time when, I believe, God commanded my guardian angel to rescue me from being hit by a car. When I was ten years old and attending a summer camp, I stepped into the path of a car while daydreaming. As I crossed a street without paying attention, a car screeched, and the counselors and kids with me screamed. But time froze for me. Stuck in the street just inches from a speeding car, I saw the car appear to stop and felt someone lifting me while a loving feeling surged through me. In an instant, I landed safely on the sidewalk without injury. No one had any explanation of how that could have happened. I’ll never forget that miraculous experience.
