Master a Whole Body Approach to Eating| [View Online] [ ] [ ] Master a Whole Body Approach to Eating Learn how to hit the sweet spot in the kitchen where delicious meets healthy. Hi, I'm New York Times bestselling author and registered dietitian Ellie Krieger, and I'd like to invite you to join my online Craftsy class, [Flavor Comes First: Healthy Meals That Taste Delicious]. Throughout these video lessons, I'll give you simple strategies and recipes to make nutritious cooking an easy, joyful part of your life — and one that propels you on a path of wellness. I'm happy to be teaching you on Craftsy, because you'll be able to ask me questions and share your successes (and challenges) every step of the way! [ ] To begin, I'll explain my food philosophy of "Usually/Sometimes/Rarely." In this plan there are no forbidden foods, but some foods you should eat occasionally or rarely. Then I'll show you how to put this plan into action with smart, one–skillet dinners that are loaded with "usually" foods. From chicken piccata with spinach to ancho chicken with warm corn salad, these dishes are a healthy indulgence. I'll introduce my "Hunger Continuum" next. This is a handy tool for assessing how hungry you really are. Checking in with your body is key to taking a healthier approach to food. It's also a great practice for eating mindfully in a way that gives you a sense of fullness (think creamy zucchini soup). A simple way to make food healthier — without adding excess sodium or calories — is to make smart use of herbs, spices and aromatics. In this lesson, I'll show you how to make cauliflower tabbouleh you'll count on as a trusty side again and again. And you'll whip up a fresh cherry tomato and toasted garlic penne that will have everyone asking for the recipe. [ ] I'll show you how to stock your pantry with healthier fats next. Plus we'll make a dijon vinaigrette you'll want to drizzle over everything in sight. I'll also share recipes for a rich green goddess dressing that's loaded with nutrients and tons of good fiber. Afraid of the fish counter? You won't be after this lesson. I'll walk you through the essentials of buying fish. And I'll share my no–fail recipe for your easiest salmon ever. We'll also make crispy breadcrumb fish that delivers a satisfying crunch without being deep–fried. And I'll share my secret weapon for on–demand entertaining — Italian fisherman's stew. In our last lesson, you'll learn how to get more nutritious whole grains in your diet. Discover my grain freeze method for convenient whole foods and get fresh ideas for easy weeknight dinners, from quinoa pilaf to herbed farro salad. Enroll in [Flavor Comes First: Healthy Meals That Taste Delicious] today and start improving the way you cook and feel. [ ] As a registered dietitian, I'd like to think that the key to my success is offering real–life advice without gimmicks or extreme dieting. I've taught nutrition at New York University and in my own private practice. But you might know me better as a New York Times bestselling author, a James Beard Award winner and the host of Food Network's Healthy Appetite. I also have a new show on PBS called Ellie’s Real Good Food. I'm a columnist for The Washington Post and I've appeared as a guest on The Today Show, Good Morning America and The CBS Morning Show, to name a few. I was also honored to be at the forefront of First Lady Michelle Obama's Let's Move campaign, encouraging children in our communities to "eat the rainbow." Now I'm excited to bring my zeal for healthy eating to you right here on Craftsy. Leave the gimmicks behind and embrace a better way of eating! I can't wait to show you how simple and delicious it can be. Enroll in [Flavor Comes First: Healthy Meals That Taste Delicious for only $14.99] — that's 63% off today!
