Also: Celebs That Got Kicked Out Of Public Places Welcome to the Cracked newsletter! This issue is about the sketch that launched Chris Farley's stardom, asshole celebrities, and some absolutely bonkers facts. [Body Shame: How ‘Chippendales Audition’ Became One of the Most Controversial ‘SNL’ Sketches]( When Chris Farley died in 1997 at the age of 33, tributes poured in from fans and fellow comedians, all celebrating what a boisterous talent he was. His career highlights, including his time on Saturday Night Live, ran on a loop. And, invariably, audiences were reminded of the classic sketch that launched his stardom. “Chippendales Audition” aired on October 27, 1990, the fourth episode of that season of SNL, which was Farley’s first season on the show. He wasn’t yet the comic dynamo we’d come to know later — it was that sketch that changed everything for him. And now that Hulu is about to premiere the dark drama Welcome to Chippendales, about the famous male-striptease revue, it’s natural that older viewers may think back to that sketch. For a while there, you couldn’t hear the word Chippendales, or listen to the Loverboy anthem “Working for the Weekend,” without picturing Farley’s gyrating, shirtless torso. It’s a very funny idea for a sketch, which explains why it currently has eight million views on YouTube. But it’s also among the most debated of all SNL sketches, with cast members and writers differing in their opinions of whether the point of the joke was actually mean-spirited — perhaps even toxic to the man who became famous because of it. Or, as Farley’s friend Chris Rock [once said of “Chippendales Audition,”]( “It’s one of the things that killed him.” [READ MORE]( Related Reads: - [The Wild Ride of Richard’s GTX from ‘Tommy Boy’]( - [Chris Farley's Gloriously Frantic 1996 'David Letterman' Entrance Is Definitely A Mood]( - [The Untold Stories Of When Paul McCartney Guested On 'SNL' And Deadlifted Chris Farley]( - [15 Fat Facts In A Little Film Called 'Tommy Boy]( [15 A-Hole Celebs That Got (Mostly) Rightly Kicked Out Of Public Places]( Some [celebrities]( can't seem to behave themselves when they go out to, say, eat or drink. Here are 15 stories of well-known names getting kicked out of establishments for their bad behavior. For example, [James Corden]( was banned from a New York restaurant after multiple incidents of poor behavior. According to the owner's Instagram, Corden allegedly found a hair in his meal during a visit and started yelling at the server when his food wasn't up to par. The ban was lifted less than 24 hours later though when Corden called and apologized profusely. And, in a very Nic Cage move, [Nicolas Cage]( caused quite a scene at a Las Vegas restaurant after getting drunk. He ended up being asked to leave due to misbehaving while wearing leopard pants and flip flops, sitting on a sofa barefoot and struggling to get his sandals on before staggering around shouting loudly. It sounds like he won't be welcome back anytime soon.
