I then warned Virginians that the arrogant Left would not be satisfied with destroying General Lee's memorial – but would target the memories of our most revered American heroes like George Washington and Thomas Jefferson, too – which President Trump echoed himself this week. That's exactly what's happening now across the country: in the nation's capital, the Lincoln Memorial has been defaced – while in New York City protesters demand removal of the statue of Teddy Roosevelt, in Durham, N.C. leftists destroyed a 1924 memorial to the simple soldiers "who wore gray," and the Governor of Maryland wants to pull down more memorials in Baltimore. Friend, a wave of hateful leftist destruction has been unleashed against American history and our freedom.
