What does it mean for you? ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ In a recent Tutorial Tuesday, Ashley Hockney shared this stat: Half the US workforce will freelance by 2028. Little wonder freelancing is growing, when freelancers can save businesses over 20% in labor costs, compared to hiring in-house. And check this out: Google employs more freelancers than permanent employees. In 2023, 3 million Americans became freelancers. And although freelancing can seem temporary, 28.5 million Americans have purposefully made freelancing their long-term career choice. Today, 46.7% of the world’s workers are already freelancing, and 32.7% freelance exclusively, not as a side hustle. That’s 1.1 billion people. As in, freelancing is becoming normalized as a legit job, Uncle Ted. Actually, Uncle Ted should think about freelancing! The age groups that earn the most as freelancers are 45 to 65. And 60% of all freelancers make more money than they did in their previous jobs. The gig economy has grown 15x faster than the traditional job market. Nearly 70% of the world’s freelancers are Millennials or Gen Z. More freelancers are women (52.3%) but male freelancers make more money - depending on the role, it’s as much as 4x more. ([Let's fix this, shall we?]( You don’t need a degree to make a living as a freelancer. In 2020, just over half of all freelancers had more than a high school diploma. And freelancers are happy. Full-time freelancers have a lifestyle satisfaction rating of 4.1 out of 5 (compared to 3.8 out of 5 for side hustlers). Most of them work from home. Most of them became freelancers because they wanted a better work-life balance with more independence. And the ones that have been doing it longest take 25 days of vacation per year. Which should tell you: 👍Freelancing is the future and is a 100% valid career 👍Many of those 2022-2023 tech company layoffs turned into freelancing gigs 👍Women realllllly need to start charging more 👍Now is a great time to start freelancing OR to start taking it more seriously than you’ve been Keep all of that in mind tomorrow, when we share our brand-new Freelancing School with you for a special intro price. If freelancing is the future, let's agree that it's wise to hop on board... [Sneak peak of Freelancing School is here >>]( ~jo :) All this according to Exploding Topics, DDIY.co, StartupBonsai.com and Flexiple, who’ve sourced data from Upwork, Forbes and special reports based on proprietary data. PS: If you don't want to hear about Freelancing School this Black Friday / Cyber Monday weekend, [click this link to unsubscribe until Dec 1, 2023.]( Sent to: {EMAIL} [Unsubscribe]( Wiebe Marketing Ltd dba Copyhackers, 200, 10158 103 St NW, Edmonton, AB T5J 0X6, Canada
