I highlighted it. Underlined it. Put stars next to it. 👇👇👇👇👇👇👇 👆👆👆👆👆👆👆 Because, with ChatGPT everywhere, it's been a kinda sensitive, tip-toe-y year for copywriters. All this fear of job loss. Which is a valid fear. I've seen freelance copywriters throw in the towel en masse. But there's a shift "back to good" happening. It's driven by two forces: 1) Businesses have spent 2023 trying to use AI to write their copy, and it isn't great. Marketers are doing revisions galore, such that the work has not been taken off their plates after all. As good as AI can be for first-draft blog posts, it's *not* so great for any-draft sales emails or even for shitty-first-draft sales pages. To say nothing of the fact that people who don't understand copy are failing to prompt AI to do good work. The hard stuff is still hard... but made even tougher in the absence of clever copywriters. 2) Senior / Curious copywriters who use AI as their "copilot," research analyst or brainstorming buddy are doing better work faster than ever, which is stellar news for businesses. If you have masterful copywriting skills AND you use AI, businesses are still hiring. Flesch reading score

Flesch reading score measures how complex a text is. The lower the score, the more difficult the text is to read. The Flesch readability score uses the average length of your sentences (measured by the number of words) and the average number of syllables per word in an equation to calculate the reading ease. Text with a very high Flesch reading ease score (about 100) is straightforward and easy to read, with short sentences and no words of more than two syllables.
