Is this the week you finally get found out? ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌

Is this the week you finally get found out? ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ It happened again. Thursday AM. You’re cruising toward the end of another week where you maybe / finally feel like you’re the in-control, pro-level conversion copywriter you imagine you could be. The one who can do no wrong. The one who’s still living off the sustenance of boss / client-praise from 3 weeks ago, even though that cursory “raised hands emoji” has long-exited their consciousness. And then it happens. An email from said boss / client. A push notification on slack. A new task added to your Trello. “Create landing page for our new immunity-mushroom mix by Friday at 6pm.” Your stomach drops. The irony of writing for an immunity-boosting mushroom mix while you’re feeling vulnerable AF is not lost on you. Full-blown psychosomatic experience complete with a gut-clench, accelerated heartbeat and racing thoughts of refusal, unfairness and what feels like absolutely reasonable terror that THIS will be the copy battle you don’t come back home from. That, “sure it was cool that my trial-to-paid sequence last month got some lift. But that conquest has been long-forgotten, and unless this landing page performs like a mofo, my confidence and job security are about to have their team slack access revoked.” And thank the copy gawds you’re still working remote. Otherwise, someone might notice the fake smile and brow sweat as you shuffle to the cupboard for some comfort carbs before walking the green mile back to your desk to fire up The Last of Us on HBO Max under the guise of "pop culture research," which you know this procrasti-binge is NOT. This slightly-dramatized yet all-to-familiar scenario outlines one of the most unfair aspects of being a professional freelance, agency or in-house copywriter. You’re only as valued, respected and rewarded as your last win. Worse, every “win” only begets the next project. And you can only hide on “do not disturb” for so long before the next assigned project hits your desk.  Got the stomach for a second-helping of scary? As a copywriter, you don’t get too many second chances. ❌ Not when your boss or client is spending thousands (or tens of thousands) per month sending clicks to that page you just wrote. ❌ Not when there’s that other (and cheaper) up and comer your CMO has been wanting a reason to try for weeks or months. ❌ Not when your clients are actively seeing what GPT-4 can do for them. The ONLY way to secure a lasting and lucrative career as a copywriter is to: - Acquire the skills to tackle every project at a professional level. - Complete those projects on-time b/c you’re leaning on best practices and processes instead of time-wasting hunches. - Be able to share, defend and get “buy in” on the decisions behind WHY you did what you did. (hint: “I had a hunch” doesn’t really cut it). [All things Copy School will help prepare you to do in record time.]( It’s the closest thing to copy career immunity you’ll find. And will support you in a long, enduring CAREER of… … having zilch stress and zero terror when a new task hits your desk. … dragging cards to the “done column” with speed and precision. … never dreading the day that everyone (your client, CMO and cat) call you out for the fraud you think you are. If that’s what you want… [I suggest that you drag “make everything better by getting Copy School” to the done column before the next task crosses your desk and throws you for a loop.]( jo :) Sent to: {EMAIL} [Unsubscribe]( Wiebe Marketing Ltd dba Copyhackers, 200, 10158 103 St NW, Edmonton, AB T5J 0X6, Canada

The Flesch readability score uses the average length of your sentences (measured by the number of words) and the average number of syllables per word in an equation to calculate the reading ease. Text with a very high Flesch reading ease score (about 100) is straightforward and easy to read, with short sentences and no words of more than two syllables. Usually, a reading ease score of 60-70 is considered acceptable/normal for web copy.
