Tim here. This is the start of something new. LFG. --------------------------------------------------------------- Sponsored This week's issue is brought to you by [Lili](=). The best bank for online freelancers. --------------------------------------------------------------- 1. This Is Your Opportunity Have you heard the big news?! If not, [you can click here to read the announcement](=). In short, as of last week, I am now the sole owner of Copyblogger Media. For those of you who know my story, you know that this is a dream come true. Everything I know about online writing, business, marketing, and sales, I've learned from reading Copyblogger. Brian Clark was my hero. In many ways, he still is, and I'm eternally grateful for the chance to meet him, partner with him, and now be the one who has been given the honor of carrying the torch and passing this knowledge onto the next generation of content creators. I Am Proof That Content Marketing Works Since first discovering Copyblogger in 2011, I've gone on to start, invest in, or be a founding member of 9 different companies. Some failed, but most have succeeded, all because I've used content marketing as a way to build my audience and create relationships with those who follow me. This model has made me a millionaire and it is now my mission to pass this knowledge on to you. I will teach you how to share your ideas, craft your message, build your brand, write great copy, sell products and services, and live the lifestyle you deserve. "Every Company Is A Media Company" I first heard Seth Godin say these words in an interview in 2012. This phrase hit me like a ton of bricks, because I instantly saw the connection between media, attention, and business. Marketing isn't the same as advertising. Marketing is about telling a story, creating a connection, and making someone "feel" something. As such, savvy businesses understood that the industrial advertising complex was dying, and that if they wanted to continue selling tee shirts, peanut butter, and widgets, they needed to start telling better stories. The companies who have thrived in the last 15 years have been the companies who have succeeded in this grand pivot. We now buy overpriced Apple iPhones because of the status they bring us and the culture they buy us into. We buy Lululemon and Patagonia because of "sustainability", while we've chastise H&M and fast fashion. We drink oat milk and demand organic avocados year round. We are the stories we tell ourselves. But the landscape has evolved quickly, and over the last 5 - 7 years, this concept has gotten even more complex. Now, "Every PERSON Is A Media Company." There's no stopping it. You are living in a digital economy, where connection matters more than convenience and the story matters more than the price. It's an amazing time to be alive. The world is changing fast. As you know, change brings opportunity and this is your opportunity to get in the game. You now have the privilege to share your ideas, solve problems, and to make a ton of money in the process. There's never been a better time to start a business. It's easier than ever to create income through content marketing. But there's a catch ... The catch is that you need to be different, you need to stand out, you need to be willing to reject the status quo. Because if you are doing what everyone else is doing, the only way for you to make a living is to be cheaper than everyone else. There is only one winner in the race to the bottom and most likely, it won't be you. Yes, This Is About Making Money I love to write. It's what I love more than anything. It's the only place where I can forget about the world and put myself in a "flow state." Nonetheless, I do this because the content I create is the catalyst to grow my audience, generate awareness for my companies, and ultimately create sales, revenues, and profits. I'm an entrepreneur. This is what I know and this is what I will share with you. If you want to make money, then follow along. I will teach you how to structure your content, your business, your processes, and your products in a way that creates value in the market place. The beautiful part is that by doing your work, and by creating the content you love, you are adding value to the world and to humanity at large. You get to share a piece of yourself, and in doing so, you get to connect with others who enjoy your content and relate to it. They may say "yes, I feel that way too." That's the connection we crave and the path to your fulfilment. Content marketing is a win / win for everyone. Your audience gets to learn from you, your spirit is fulfilled, and your bank account is full of cash. What could be better? We Will Do Great Things Together Yes, building a business is hard and scary and you may be reading this and the little voices in your head may be telling you "this will never work for me." I'm here to tell you that it will. It's worked for me and I know it can work for you too. I sincerely hope you follow along. --------------------------------------------------------------- 2.
