Hey everyone, Tim here. I hope you all had a productive week full of progress and success. Top Content Marketing Resources 1. [Consent-Based Email, Economic Trends for Ecommerce, and SEO for Service Businesses]() Hosts Darrell Vesterfelt and Tim Stoddart return to announce the release of their new monster content marketing guide, discuss recent developments in online marketing, and answer more of your questions. In this episode, we talk about... - Why content marketing looks so different from 10 years ago - How to fight off spammers who have turned your inbox into a dumpster fire - The pros and cons of recent online privacy and email marketing practices - A primer in writing great content for localized services - And why good SEO is a combo of common sense and answering people’s questions 2. [7 Unusual Signs on the Path to Breakthrough]() This was a beautifully written and personable article by Stefanie Flaxman. Stefanie gives her experience of all the times she "came up short" and how, in the end, she was always getting closer and closer to success. The path to success is never a straight line. The “continually-trying-to-figure-things-out” shuffle goes hand-in-hand with a [professional creative life](). You can practice [mindful]() decision-making to increase your chances of a favorable outcome, but that doesn’t make you immune to challenges. 3. [What Really Converts - The Data Behind Landing Page Success](=)= When you are reviewing your landing pages, it might be easy to look at them and know you are following all of the best practices. However, when you look at the numbers, are they converting to their full potential or are they maybe not converting at all? If they aren’t, with a couple tweaks and understanding some key statistics, you might be able to solve this frustrating issue. This is an article written 2 years ago, but I still found the information to be extremely informative and relevant. There is so much written about landing pages and conversion metrics, but rarely do people combine data with psychological triggers to get the most out of their content. 4. [How to Make Money with Affiliate Marketing]() Matt Giovanisci is a successful entrepreneur that has built an enterprise through creative affiliate marketing websites. He is the founder of Money Lab, Swim University, and Brew Cabin. He says he challenges himself to “make money online by ignoring all the online marketing bullsh*t.” I had Matt on my own podcast to learn about how we can use his strategies and tactics to build online businesses around topics that we are passionate about. His perspective is so important because it's a great way for anyone to get started and it's a logical business model with lots of potential profits. 5. [21 Real-World Copywriting Examples on How to Write Powerful Copy]( What an incredibly useful article written by Priscilla Tan. In this article, Priscilla gives detailed and in depth examples of different styles of copy, as well as the stories behind why each of these strategies works so well. It's important for us to always remember that the difference between sales and no sales is compelling copy. The words are what sells. The how and the why. This article is a gem. I hope you appreciate it as much as I did. Closing Thoughts Darrell and I have been working hard. We are grinding out the design for my.copyblogger as well as working to increase the production behind [The Copyblogger Podcast](=). Last night, my wife and I were chatting at dinner. She could tell I was feeling overwhelmed by the work. We've put a lot of pressure on ourselves. We want to truly create something great for our audience and we want to see you all succeed. That's not something we take lightly. My wife looks at me and says ... "Yes... but don't forget to enjoy the work." Truer words were never spoken. In business, we all have to do things we don't want to do, but that doesn't mean we can't enjoy the process. When we enjoy our work, that emotion shines through and our audiences become more engaged and you provide more value to the people you wish to serve. Enjoy the work. It's important. Stay focused. Talk to you next week. Tim Stoddart Partner, Copyblogger Media [Follow me on Twitter](=) P.S. — We love hearing from our readers.
