My story is simple

I was raised in rural poverty by a single mother on food stamps. My mom taught my brother and me the importance of hard work and resilience. [Derrick Van Orden]( At 18, I joined the U.S. Navy. After serving for 26 years and completing 5 combat tours, I retired as a Navy SEAL Senior Chief. My call to service didn’t stop here. In 2020, I ran against an incumbent Democrat who epitomized the definition of “career politician.” I lost that race, but I picked myself up by my bootstraps and ran again in 2022. Now, I’m extremely proud to be serving Wisconsin’s Third District as a freshman in Congress. I’m not a swamp-dwelling politician – I don’t have mega-donors or Super PACs I can call when we’re falling behind. I’m just like you – a concerned American who loves this nation and will always do the right thing. So when I come to you asking for money, please know that it’s my least favorite thing to do. I come to you knowing that the Biden Administration has made your hard-earned dollar worth less than it was just two years ago. But if you agree that our country is worth fighting for, I need your help.
