Entering the Navy, serving multiple tours in Iraq, advising foreign policy leaders at the Pentagon – I loved serving my country abroad and in Washington. However, as much as I loved the task of strengthening our national security, I also knew the importance of working towards a better quality of life where I grew up, in Central New York.
