The 3 ingredients 👨‍🍳 you need to scale FB ads now. Hey there, Lately, people complain that Facebook advertising isn’t as effective as it used to be. And that it’s almost impossible to get your ads to scale right now. However… I beg to differ. There are 3 ingredients to great ad campaigns that scale, and I’d like to share them with you now. Ingredient #1—Creative The main thing to keep in mind with your campaign creatives is to ask yourself: "What kind of audience will see this ad?" - Targeting a cold audience? Try a story-based ad. Stories keep engagement high. - Retargeting audience? Social proof ads work CRAZY good for these warm audiences. We’ve also found that: - Video ads work better for us than any other format. Especially if you include a bit of humor to make the ad more engaging and get people to keep watching. - The first 5-10 seconds of video ads are the most important. Usually, I test 5-10 ‘first sentences’ to find the one that connects the best with my audience. I highly recommend you to do this too! - Because we’ll test more ads than ever before this year, we always start with certain frameworks/templates proven to work well in the past. Ingredient #2—Targeting Knowing your audience well is the most crucial aspect of targeting! Before you create your campaigns you must understand: - Who are your competitors, and how to position your product or service as a superior option to theirs - Which demographics respond best to products like yours? No point in including a Gen Z audience when your product is aimed at Boomers, right? - Is there a specific geographic segment that is more interested in your product? (Example: you won’t do well selling a revolutionary type of snow shovel in Dubai, but you might get a lot of takers in the northern U.S.) Two more targeting tips: - To broaden your targeting options, take advantage of look-alike and super look-alike audiences. - Plan your campaigns to target both cold traffic (aka "top of funnel") as well as retargeting (aka "bottom of funnel") audiences. Ingredient #3—Facebook’s Al To make the most of your ad campaigns, you need to feed Facebook’s AI as well. Which I’ll tell you about tomorrow. 😉 To your success, Wilco P.S. Do you know what else is coming tomorrow? I’m reopening ConnectIQ Academy (my Facebook advertising masterclass that covers these 3 ingredients to great Facebook ad campaigns... and much, much more). Why are we reopening it? Well, it’s something people have been asking for… but more than that… I literally have NO CHOICE but to open it up again. I’ve also got some good news and bad news about opening it up again that I’ll share with you tomorrow. Flesch reading score measures how complex a text is. The lower the score, the more difficult the text is to read. The Flesch readability score uses the average length of your sentences (measured by the number of words) and the average number of syllables per word in an equation to calculate the reading ease. Text with a very high Flesch reading ease score (about 100) is straightforward and easy to read, with short sentences and no words of more than two syllables. Usually, a reading ease score of 60-70 is considered acceptable/normal for web copy.
