I trade news announcements often, but only certain news and it's very similar to trading the market open sessions in terms of strategy and momentum. There are 12 classes in the main course each of which has related coursework which is provided after the class. The weekly course work has two functions and comes in two parts. The first part (consolidation) is designed to deepen your understanding of the concepts in the classes and the second part (reflection) is designed to improve your awareness of how you currently make decisions in trading, and help you embed the knew knowledge in to your trading. I'm very busy. How long will it take? Do I have to do all of it? The classes are about an hour each and the coursework should take anything from 30 mins to 2 hours to complete. In an ideal world,  you would sit 1 class a week and complete both the consolidation and reflection coursework during that week. But we understand that people have jobs, families and busy lives so for some this maybe difficult. If this is the case you have a couple of options. 1) Sit the entire course first, become familiar with the topics and then do the course work on the 2nd viewing. 2) Sit the course and just complete part two of the course work, the reflective work. 3) Slow the course down and take a class every two weeks to allow more time to complete ALL the coursework. 4) Sit 1 class a week, do all the coursework, but in short form. Answer questions in keywords, short sentences or draft notes. Then, in the to come, watch the main course a second time and add or expend your work to be more detailed. Bear in mind that this is not like work issued by college or schools.. it is not evidence or demonstration of knowledge for someone else, its designed to help you. As a result the cybernetic coursework is far more enjoyable and students are generally surprised at how much they look forward to getting involved in the weeks work after class. At some point, at the very very least, the reflection work (part 2) of each class must be completed. These questions are designed to make you reflect on your trading decisions in specific contexts and draw knowledge from the course into your  skill as a decision maker. Watching the course only is likely to turn you into an expert in decision making but not improve your practical skill as a decision maker which is a completely separate thing. You're not trying to pass an exam here, just get better at a skill. If you get suddenly busy, life events take over or find one topic particularly challenging, or need to trade for a while to notice what we are discussing in your trading.. then of course just slow the course down. Take 2 weeks or how ever long you need to get back on top, and continue your journey. We have free re-start package - a small class and some handouts to help those that needed to take a break and are trying to get back into the course at any point; these are part motivational, but will also you assist you in recalling and summarising where you left off and help you get re-absorbed and back on track. Why is the coursework shared with other students? Your coursework is only shared anonymously with other students if you choose to, you always have the option to completely your work privately. For those that do not mind sharing their work anonymously, we give then access to all the other students work that have allowed sharing. We feel this a valuable learning tool - to see what other's are writing, and most importantly to see the commonality of trading issues across time frames and asset classes. It's sometimes possible to learn just as much from each other, as you might from the course itself - a massive potential bonus. How does the 12 month training program work and how is it structured? After the main course which is 12 weeks long, we provide enough post course resources and training programs to sustain 12 months of continuous development. To an extent this is designed by your to your exact needs using tools we provide. It's crucial that this part of the course is designed in this way; So that you focus on your particular weaknesses and also, to ensure that you have a chance to deploy everything you have learnt in the 12 week course in varying market conditions. To keep you on track, you'll also hear from us once a month with some tips, optional reflective work, latest research, live Q&A's and some case studies. We'll also encourage you to form networks to discuss cybernetic trading ideas, with other traders of all types. Q. How do i measure my success during the course? It would be unwise during the 12 week course to measure your success in terms of trading outcomes or about size. This of course goes for an increase of positive trade outcomes and account growth. Trading is probabilistic and even if your profit seems to increase during the main course, it's too shorter time frame to draw any conclusions. Over the 12 duration of the whole course however, if you have a profitable system and the reason your are not profitable is because of a lack of execution consistency, mental barriers, maladaptive defensive mechanisms, poor self awareness, focus or discipline.. then we guarantee that you will be able to measure success in terms of your profit and account size without exception. You should also want see success in a much shorter time frame in weeks or months.. and to measure that you should not be looking at your profit but the degree to which you are following your system, not feeling the highs and lows of individual trades or clusters of trades and generally trusting your system more. To help with this we have designed a feedback/measurement tool that you can deploy daily or weekly after week 10 after we've covered decision evaluation. This tool is designed for you to see trends in the short term in terms of how you feel in trading, and the extend to which you are able to identify false urges, or oversensitive or maladaptive decision mechanisms. In the first 10 weeks of the course, you should measure your success and progress within the coursework itself.. particularly in the reflective part. As you continue to trade whilst completing lessons 4-8, you will start to spot the early warning signs to poor decisions and note how you identified them and overruled them. Can we ask questions during the first 12 weeks? Yes. As the course developed, we will be building up a comprehensive FAQ on the course material itself. In the mean time, we will be hosting periodic online Q&As with pre-submitted questions. There will be one session for those on classes 1-6 and another for those on 7-12. ------------------------------ Alexei Janssen ------------------------------ [Reply to Group Online]( [View Thread]( [Recommend]( [Forward]( [] [top](#toca) [previous](#m1) [next](#m3) 3. Anush, you said that you too live in a rural area.  A fact of life in the UK (reportedly with the worst broadband service in Europe), is that only in cities where broadband is delivered by fibre-optic cable, is reliable broadband signal available.  Another factor is the distance from the signal source, not to mention cost paid - the more expensive the service, supposedly, the more reliable. So any business NEEDING reliable signals, e.g . financial trading, MUST be near a good service and signal provider, hence the numerous such businesses within a smallish area.  Near me those are City of London and Cambridge (40 km). Anush, I suggest you investigate all possible broadband suppliers in Switzerland, as there are some alternative technologies/means of signal delivery becoming available - at a price.  I'm not an expert, but 2 years ago I organised a local campaign  with a neighbour who is in the broadband supply business, to 'do something' about the awful broadband here, without success.  But things have improved slightly.  Valerie. ------------------------------ Valerie Muir ------------------------------ [Reply to Group Online]( [View Thread]( [Recommend]( [Forward]( ------------------------------------------- Original Message: Sent: 10-18-2017 04:16 From: Anush Mohafez Subject: technical issues on the dash Again a small interruption on the data stream, as is mentioned on the dash time is about 0814 GMT, please see attached... ------------------------------ Anush Mohafez Retail FX Cherry Picker Switzerland ------------------------------ Original Message: Sent: 09-28-2017 07:56 From: Brian Stickney Subject: technical issues on the dash Hi Anush, Thank you for the "bump" on this topic.  I have only seen that happen once or twice during my trading hours.  If you see a flat line like that, it would mean that there was some sort of data interruption with the feed that services the dashboard. As with anything that relies on data coming in from external sources we could see a brief interruption from time to time, but this certainly should not happen often.  In the months of using the new dashboard, I have only seen this happen once or twice. USD30000.- to get my own fibre line in front of my house, currently above my budget... So the 10 MB is the very best at this point of time and hopefully this will improve sooner or later... Actually, in a probabilistic environment, the outcome of the trade is largely irrelevant, assuming that you are trading consistently over time with a set of clear strategies. What matters is the outcome statistically over a set of trades. The size of the set depends on your edge, time frame and many other factors. But it is unlikely you can derive very specific meaning from one single outcome. Even deriving meaning from the outcome of small clusters of trades can be quite deceiving. Updating your emotional response to losing trades requires re-training your instinctive but understandable responses to loss. It is not a character or attitudinal flaw. If you would like to know more, please attend the free foundation to cybernetics course here at CCT which will explain probabilistic decision making in more detail. All the best Alexei ------------------------------ Alexei Janssen ------------------------------ [Reply to Group Online]( [View Thread]( [Recommend]( [Forward]( ------------------------------------------- Original Message: Sent: 09-13-2017 21:55 From: John Cherne Subject: Closed trade psychology How does a professional trade handle a closed trade which lost money, even if all the rules are followed?
