Dan Cox, the Republican nominee for governor of Maryland, is an extremely far-right Delegate endorsed by none other than Donald Trump. He organized buses to the insurrection on January 6, spread the Big Lie that the 2020 presidential election was stolen from Trump, and pushed dangerous conspiracy theories. Not only that, but he’s introduced bills to severely restrict abortion, expand access to guns, and ban pandemic health and safety measures. Cox is so extreme that Governor Hogan — a Republican himself — publicly declared only a day after election day that he will not vote for Cox in the November election, saying, “I called him a QAnon whack job. I don't think he has any business being the nominee.” We cannot allow our state to be run by someone as dangerous and extreme as Cox, team. We deserve a governor who will bring people together and leave no one behind, and that leader is Wes.
