If you’d like to unsubscribe, [click here.]( # # Supporting Ketanji Brown Jackson for the United States Supreme Court On April 7th, The Collective PAC [congratulated]( Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson on her bipartisan Senate confirmation to become the United States’ first Black woman Supreme Court Justice. # Special Election Primary Victory in California On April 11th, we also [celebrated]( Lourin Hubbard advancing to the June 7th special run-off election to fill the vacant seat in California's 22nd U.S. Congressional District. # April Endorsements The Collective PAC [endorsed]( three candidates running for Lieutenant Governor in Michigan, Pennsylvania, and [Ohio](; as well as [endorsed]( two Congressional Black Caucus members seeking re-election to the U.S. House of Representatives. Finally, The Collective PAC endorsed a slate of candidates running for state and local office in [Ohio and Tennessee](. # May 3rd and 7th Primary Victories Ten of our candidates in [Ohio]( and [Tennessee]( have successfully won their primary races and are moving forward to the general election. Andrea Hunley won her primary race for Indiana State Senate. On May 7th, Texas had municipal primary elections and our candidates Councilmember Jamell Johnson, candidate for Little Elm Town Council, and Brandon Chase McGee, candidate for Denton City Council won their races. “Our Collective Power” Speaker Series # The Collective PAC released the third installment of Our Collective Power Speaker Series featuring Chris Jones, candidate for Governor of Arkansas, and Erica Smith, candidate for North Carolina’s First Congressional District, discussing faith in politics. We featured [Dr. Kermit Jones](, candidate for California's third Congressional District, and [Christian Wise Smith](, candidate for Attorney General in Georgia, and [Erica Smith](, candidate for North Carolina’s First Congressional District. We’re Building a Pipeline of Black Political Talent # As our nation and communities become increasingly multicultural and multi-racial, staff leading campaign messaging and strategy must also reflect the growing diversity of our electorate - and that requires intentionality. It is critical to have Black campaign leaders and staff who are familiar with the interests and needs of voters, and who can help Black candidates connect authentically with the communities they are working to represent. To this end, The Collective PAC is proud to have launched our Campaign Jobs Board to provide greater opportunities for diverse and dynamic talent to support and work with our endorsed candidates.
