Filming Usher's Super Bowl Show with 40 iPhones

Let’s Roll It']( Watching Super Bowl 58 earlier this month, I was way more interested in Usher’s halftime show than I was in the sponsor of the show, Apple Music. But now, Apple is taking us behind the scenes of that performance -- using 40 iPhone 15 Pro models to film it. The 10-minute short film includes footage from the rehearsals, a "making of" the show, as well as previously unseen clips from the live performance. CNET’s Patrick Holland notes that the clips of the [live show stand out]( in particular “for their unique angles and one-of-a-kind-perspectives compared to what was broadcast.” Director Mike Carson and director of photography Xiaolong Liu had filmmakers on stage to capture footage and also had iPhones mounted to instruments and set pieces, which made for some amazing shots. Like Usher says, “Let’s put it on wheels.
