Firstly, smart glasses are weird, and sometimes they can be unintentionally funny. Yesterday I was reminded of the time I wore a set of [Google Glass]( to a [separate Google event]( as a "joke" when a pair of them appeared in the office. Scott Stein was using the [AI-upgraded Meta Ray-Ban’s]( to try to identify its long lost ancestor -- its new feature lets you analyze anything you're looking at. Yet, it seems the Meta glass was too embarrassed by the past and claimed it couldn't tell what it was looking at! Then Stein turned the glasses around and took a picture of me at my desk. The photo wasn’t anything special -- just me in front of the freight entrance with an exit sign above it -- but the accompanying caption was ridiculous: "Leveling up our logistics game with the freight elevator and HEXIT! 🚨 💻 #supplychainmanagement #logisticssolutions". While "HEXIT!" made me think of [Hexen]( (the computer game), our esteemed Sub-editor Sarah McDermott suggested it sounded like a bunch of witches trying to leave the EU.
