Rather than stressing about the start of a new work week the next day or grieving the end of the weekend, I am absolutely jazzed. That's because it's time for my monthly book club meeting. This month we read Remarkably Bright Creatures (it was great) and for September, we’re reading Hello, Beautiful, a recent recommendation from Oprah Winfrey. (Who else?) But I don’t just read my novel for book club and stop there. I’m somewhat of an avid reader, averaging a book (sometimes two) a week. I admit it can be difficult to keep up with all 52 or so titles I read in a year, so I recently downloaded an app called Goodreads to keep track, connect with authors and generally become immersed in a community of bibliophiles. Think of Goodreads as a digital bookshelf where you can check off books as you finish them, post book reviews and connect with friends to see what your fellow bookworms are reading (a good way to poach ideas for your next read). When I first started using Goodreads, I downloaded the app and that was that. But there are actually certain settings you can change to make your experience with the app even better.
