July Highlight [Heatmap and Crop GIF]( [Content-Aware Video Cropping]( Cloudinary’s content-aware automatic video cropping capability identifies must-keep video sections using AI and machine learning, churning out downsized videos in any aspect ratio. A complex deep-learning algorithm generates a heatmap that identifies the most interesting areas. This is then used to crop the video intelligently, following the most interesting area of the video throughout the duration while filling the screen no matter the aspect ratio. All you need to do is set the crop mode to 'fill' and the gravity to 'auto' to begin the process of analyzing the video. [LEARN MORE]( [Access Control]( Access Control Access Control allows you to control access to your assets when they're not yet ready to go public. Set sensitive assets as restricted, available with a special authorization security token (specific to device and asset), and also potentially time limited. This way the team can work with the URL in their code, while these restricted assets are set to automatically become public and visible only on a certain date, with no modifications necessary. [LEARN MORE]( [Collections]( Collections Collections are virtual folders that allow you to share and distribute assets securely by providing controlled access to your asset library through role-based access privileges - both to internal and external teams. Make assets available in ‘restricted’ mode to limit access during collaboration, and publish it to everyone when you’re ready to make your work public. [LEARN MORE]( Trending Features [Transformation Presets]( Transformation Presets Transformation Presets are now available for easy and prompt selection, preview and re-use straight from your asset's Manage page in your Media Library. The URL will be displayed above the image preview, allowing you to open the transformation in new tab, download the transformed image, copy the URL and edit the image with this specific transformation through the transformations page. [LEARN MORE]( [Color Blind Effects]( Color Blind Accessibility Effects Allow you to simulate the way an image would appear to someone with one of the various forms of color blindness. For example, add stripes in different directions and thicknesses, or use color shifts to assist people with common colorblind conditions to differentiate between colors. [LEARN MORE]( [User Defined Variables]( User Defined Variables Using user-defined variables in transformations gives you the flexibility to dynamically control several aspects of the image's final result. Now we’re happy to share that this capability is supported with border transformations as well! In the example below you can see we use both variables and arithmetic transformations, to set a relative border size, but no bigger than 15px.
