a celebration of what we can accomplish together Climate voters, Here’s a fun fact: President Carter had solar panels installed at the White House back in 1979. At the time, Carter said America needed to harness “the power of the sun to enrich our lives as we move away from our crippling dependence on foreign oil.” And a not-so-fun fact: When President Reagan moved into the White House in the 80s, he promptly had them removed. Decades later, solar panels are the bare minimum for a U.S. president to bring us into the clean energy future. And President Biden is doing so much more! In just a few years, the president’s clean energy plan is making historic progress, including: - Hundreds of thousands of new, good-paying clean energy jobs across the country; - Investment in training to build careers for the future; - Expansion of energy cost savings for families by $1,000 a year; - Increased access to clean air, water, and soil; - And the call to end government handouts for oil and gas giants seeing record profits. We are laying the foundation for our clean energy future -- one that will be here to support generations to come. And in November, we must defend this progress. Can we count on you to be a climate voter and vote for our future? [I'M IN]( We cannot afford a climate-denying wannabe dictator who is hellbent on taking away these jobs, rolling back our clean energy and climate progress, installing oil and gas execs in positions of power, and making it near-impossible to make more progress for climate action as a nation. That’s what we’re up against this November. And we need climate voters everywhere to show up at the polls and vote for the future. [Sign the pledge today.]( Our future is on the line.
