how teachers, schools, and parents prepare for hot classrooms Team, It’s back to school season.

how teachers, schools, and parents prepare for hot classrooms Team, It’s back to school season. When we were kids, this was an exciting time to pick up new supplies, maybe a cool backpack, and a first-day-of-school outfit to start the year on the right note. Back to school these days is just a bit different thanks to the climate crisis. In July, we experienced the two hottest days EVER recorded, one after the other. So today, as school kids are packing up their bags and picking out that cool outfit, we have heatwaves, wildfires, storms, and flooding all across the country. But Vice President Harris and Governor Walz (a former teacher!) are looking out for our schools, students, and teachers. Here are just a few ways they’re standing up for the next generation: ⚡ Vice President Harris was THE deciding vote to pass the biggest climate law in history. She’s a tireless advocate with a record of fighting for clean air, water, and a safe and healthy environment for all. And she never misses a chance to advocate for electric school buses all across the country. 🕶 Vice President Harris and Governor Walz champion the clean energy boom. Thanks to climate leadership, we’re investing in upgrading public buildings and infrastructure -- like schools -- for climate-resiliency and energy efficiency. So, for example, students and teachers can beat the heat with cleaner and cooler air at school! 💪 Both Harris and Walz are fighting for our freedoms & a better future for young people today and generations to come. And they’re both ready to take on anyone who stands in our way. *cough* Big Oil *cough* [It’s up to us to keep building on our climate progress for future generations. Will you vote for our future?]( [I'M IN]( We must elect climate champions ready to take on the crisis, not climate-denying wannabe dictators ready to do Big Oil’s bidding.
