If you haven’t taken a look yet, check out this page to see what it’s all about and the amazing freebies you can get your hands on! Then, get yourself back here so we can go through today’s nuggets. WHAT YOU'RE ABOUT TO DISCOVER... - 3 simple tips to improve your copy - The amazing impact of scent marketing - A monstrous funnel to hack - What a fishbowl funnel is, and why you need one - Experts’ guide to starting your own newsletter CREDIT CARD COMPANIES ARE DIVING INTO SCENT MARKETING. SHOULD YOU? Mastercard has just ventured into the world of scent marketing as part of its 'multisensory' marketing strategy. Scent marketing is simply the strategic use of fragrance at specific consumer touchpoints. The right scent can not only allow you to create an instant emotional connection with the customer; studies show it can make customers far more likely to buy. One of the most well-known studies in the industry was conducted by Alan Hirsch, a Chicago-based neurologist, in 1993. For the study, Hirsch and his team placed two identical pairs of Nike running shoes into rooms that were exactly alike, except for one difference. One room had a floral scent, while the other was unscented. The results were shocking… They found consumers were 84% more likely to buy the running shoes in the scented room. This huge jump is mostly because our sense of smell is linked directly to our limbic system (which controls memory and emotion), therefore ambient scents offer several benefits: - Boost recognition and memory performance. - They increase the time consumers spend in a shop or business. - They elevate mood and a person’s level of enjoyment - They improve the quality of a service encounter. The scents Mastercard is planning on offering will be called Priceless Passion and Priceless Optimism. Raja Rajamannar, Mastercard's CMO, said: "Science has shown that fragrance has the ability to evoke powerful emotional connections and with Priceless, we hope to provide an uplifting, immersive and unforgettable experience to consumers." “Traditionally, marketers have focused on creating mostly a visual identity for their brands. A logo, a design style, the kind of thing that makes it easy to say, ‘that’s Apple’ or ‘that’s Mastercard.’ But one key thing that wasn’t appreciated is that we’re generally blessed with five senses.” Is it time to come up with a scent for your brand? …I wonder what the ClickFunnels scent would be! As a bonus, scents don’t just increase buying behavior. They may also help you get more work done… In another study on the power of scents, researchers had students solve problems under various conditions. They found that the students solved more problems in less time when a simple scent was in the air compared to when a complex scent or no scent was used. THE REBIRTH OF FISH BOWL FUNNELS This week we got the chance to chat with ClickFunnels Ambassador (and 2 Comma Club award winner) Danny Walsh. Danny has had huge success with Fish Bowl Funnels and took the time to explain what they are and how you can use them to attract large numbers of people into your world… “Winning the 2 Comma Club award may seem like it is out of your grasp, and I was no different. It took a while to figure out the “one funnel”. For me, it was the Fishbowl Funnel that did the business. Fishbowl Funnels basically mean giving something away (i.e. a prize) in return for a customer’s contact details. In fact, the Fishbowl Funnel was featured very early on in Russell Brunson’s teachings: Did you try it? The thing about doing a Fishbowl Funnel is that folks want to know if they have won, so they enter the correct details every time. This is great for following up with Newsletters and Offers. Folks are also keen to win, and that always boosts opt-in rates (sometimes skyward of 100%). In fact, one of my students/turned business partners had an 186% opt-in rate which was insane. Fishbowl funnels work in most niches and help you to build a community because there are “steps” you can ask people to take on the thank you page. For example: Step #1 - Join our Facebook group Step #2 - Share this page We even encouraged people to invite their friends for extra chances to win. Can you see the power in that? The Fishbowl enabled us to pull in a crazy number of leads for our Fishing Tackle business, and because we focused on the principles below (AND Russell’s teachings from Expert Secrets), we were able to build a following AND increase the Lifetime Value of the customer. Lifetime Value and continuity are so important, and I know now that if I had only heard of the Linchpin sooner, our $3m would have been more like $15m…. But there is still time… You got the Linchpin book, right? ([Here’s a link if not](. We are currently in the process of combining the Fishbowl Funnel with the Linchpin in all of our businesses, from Fishing to Funnels (i.e. the FISHPIN) which is super exciting… Anyway… Here are my Three Principles for two-comma success. These three principles have underpinned everything I have ever done. Think of them like a checklist, I aim to get #1 done as fast as possible. #1 Technology Must Work - Use ClickFunnels! #2 Put the right offer in front of the right people - Learn how to leverage the Fishbowl Funnel #3 Build & Maintain Relationships with customers - In a CLOSED community Think about it, without the technology working, you can’t position an offer in front of anyone, and without an offer, you can’t really build a relationship with your customer! Relationships = recurring business and amazing reviews. Technology just moves people from A to B (Ads to Bank) - so why would you spend more time messing with the tech than building relationships with customers? Question? - name a “job” or “role” that does not involve Helping Someone… It’s an important shift in perspective. The “One Funnel” is not just a bunch of pages inside of ClickFunnels For us, it was the Fishbowl Funnel, the community, and the follow-up, which we now teach in our academy and via our [free challenges](. The main thing for me is that you get started, #juststar, and I believe in testing something out before you invest too much. A Fishbowl Funnel lets you build a list, build a community and build a presence, in any niche, without needing to have a product. It even works for Affiliate products. You may have even seen ClickFunnels using this awesome method when we gave away the Tickets to FHL…. To your success, Danny Walsh & Siobhan Sherman 2cc winners :)” POPULAR IN THE COMMUNITY 🗞️ The ClickFunnels Ambassadors hosted a live all about how to start your own newsletter Check it out [here](. 🎄Dewi Kreckman has shared her notes from FHL This includes a summary, workbook, and checklist. There’s a reason the world’s top copywriters get paid so much money. If you want better conversions without having to spend years mastering copywriting, here are 3 simple tips you can use right now that will improve your results immediately: Tip #1: Use transitional phrases Transitional phrases help carry the reader from one paragraph to the next or from one idea to another, maintaining their interest and ensuring a smooth reading experience. This technique is often referred to as the "Bucket Brigade" technique. It’s like a human chain passing along buckets of water to put out a fire. Each transitional phrase passes the reader's attention onto the next paragraph. Here are some examples of transitional phrases: - "But here’s the kicker..." - "And that’s not all..." - "Now, here’s where things get interesting..." - "But wait, there’s more..." - "Let me explain..." Using such phrases creates a conversational tone and keeps the reader engaged, motivating them to read on to discover the information promised. Tip #2: Keep the focus on them, not you Entrepreneurs and marketers often get so excited about sharing how great the thing they’re selling is that they forget to tell the reader how it benefits them. To avoid making this mistake, spend more time focused on “you” language instead of “we” language. For example: ‘We’ Focused: “At XYZ Company, we create high-quality running shoes designed to help athletes perform their best.” ‘You’ Focused: “Imagine lacing up a pair of high-quality running shoes designed to help you perform your best every time you hit the track.” Tip #3: Create open loops In copywriting, opening a loop means introducing an idea or asking a question and not immediately providing a resolution or answer. This creates a sense of curiosity or even mild tension that encourages the reader to continue reading in order to close the loop. Here are some methods of opening loops: - Mention a surprising fact or stat and promise to explain or elaborate on it further down the copy. - Pose a provocative or thought-provoking question early in your copy but delay answering it until later. - Introduce a story but cut yourself off before finishing. - Pose a challenge or make a prediction early in your copy, and promise to resolve or explain it later. - If you have a sequence of events or steps, withhold the final steps or the outcome until later in the copy. - Start with a powerful quote or testimonial but delay explaining who said it or the context until later. Try weaving each of these tips into your copy and watch your conversions start to rise. FUNNEL OF THE WEEK For the funnel this week, given it’s almost Halloween, we thought, what better than to share 2CC award winner Danny Walsh’s free “Monster Group Challenge” funnel? This funnel has some monstrous design elements, and given Danny’s scary knowledge of funnels, is well worth taking a look at: [Check it out here]( And that just about wraps things up for another week! Join us on Monday when we’ll be sharing how to dominate Google ads, build resiliency, and much more.
