Hi , Wes here again. Don't worry, nothing to sell today. Just an announcement that we think you'll appreciate. In keeping with that New Year's resolution about building community instead of just pitching merch, I'm moving these emails to a more conversational approach. We're looking to add value and lighten burdens. I'm working on a few ideas of what to include in here that will make it worth opening. The no-brainer offer would be unique-to-reader discount codes. That will be coming. But we can do a lot better than that. We haven't quite worked out all the details yet, and there will be a lot of trial and error when we launch. But we hope to give our readers something that makes you a little happier, wiser, or better informed at the end of the newsletter than you were when you began. Or maybe even improving life in some whole other way. We might give you special access to featured book excerpts as new launches come along. We might have brief appearances from featured guests. As I said, we're still working out the deets. Here are the updates we promised, short and sweet. 1) We launched our new 'normy' news site. You can find it at ClashNews (dot) US. The format will be weekdays (at least for now) with more news and less opinion... or at least less 'edgy' opinion. The kind of right-leaning stories you can share with center-left friends without it being dismissed as just another (as they might see them) rabid far-right site. There will be regular news stories, but the key feature that will set it apart from other sites will be the 'Early edition' quick news summary of five (+/-) off-the-beaten-path interesting stories that others probably aren't talking about, to get you ready for the water cooler. 2) The mailers will look a little different moving forward. ClashDaily will still run stories but will cut back to one mailer a day for each site. We'll send our new site's content in the morning and the ClashDaily in the evening. 3) We are still working on developing unique content for the store. A couple of new products just went live with a patriotic (and I think, cool) dig at the obnoxious 1619 crowd. We're pretty happy with it and will be sending a unique-to-our-mailing list discount code in a more conventional flyer-type email at some point over the next couple of days. If you don't like waiting that long and want to take a peek, you can find the relevant page [here](. You should have no trouble recognizing which ones we meant. Until next time, Stay Rowdy! Flesch reading score

Flesch reading score measures how complex a text is. The lower the score, the more difficult the text is to read. The Flesch readability score uses the average length of your sentences (measured by the number of words) and the average number of syllables per word in an equation to calculate the reading ease. Text with a very high Flesch reading ease score (about 100) is straightforward and easy to read, with short sentences and no words of more than two syllables. Usually, a reading ease score of 60-70 is considered acceptable/normal for web copy.
