Now, this might seem unexpected given Harris' political background, but it's happening, and it's got people talking. First off, Harris recently made waves in Las Vegas by proposing to abolish a tax on tips for service and hospitality workers. Sound familiar? That's because Trump was the first to push this idea back in June. Harris even adopted the catchy slogan, "no tax on tips," a phrase Trump has been using for a while. [This announcement came at an event]( where Harris secured the endorsement of the Nevada Culinary Union-a group that had previously backed Trump's proposal. But here's the kicker: just a year earlier, the Biden-Harris administration launched an initiative to enforce taxes on tips more rigorously through the IRS and Treasury Department. Quite the turnaround, wouldn't you say? But it doesn't stop there. Harris has also taken a page from Trump's playbook on immigration and border security. At a rally in Glendale, Arizona, she portrayed herself as a strong advocate for border security, stating her support for increasing the number of Border Patrol agents and cracking down on human trafficking. These are policies that Trump first championed during his 2016 campaign, and he made significant strides in these areas during his presidency. His administration even established the Center for Countering Human Trafficking and approved over $35 million for safe housing for trafficking victims. This shift in Harris' stance is intriguing, especially considering her past views. Previously, she suggested abolishing Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and, as the Biden administration's "border czar," she oversaw a massive influx of border crossings, including millions of illegal immigrants who evaded capture. Additionally, the administration ended DNA testing at the border-a tool used to prevent unaccompanied minors from being trafficked. It's quite a contrast to her current tough-on-immigration rhetoric. Lastly, Harris is also echoing Trump on the issue of inflation, a topic that's top of mind for many voters. In recent rallies, she's acknowledged that prices are still too high and promised to make fighting inflation a priority from day one of her presidency. This comes after Trump spent months making inflation a central theme of his campaign, with promises to end what he calls the "inflation nightmare."
