Boy, were they wrong. We passed the Inflation Reduction Act to fight climate change, lower prescription drug costs, and lower costs for American families. We passed the CHIPS and Science Act to supercharge American manufacturing. We passed the first major gun safety law in decades. We passed historic legislation to protect same-sex and interracial marriage. We confirmed Ketanji Brown Jackson to the Supreme Court. We passed laws to save the USPS, support veterans exposed to toxic burn pits, empower survivors of sexual assault, designate lynching a federal hate crime, and help Ukraine defend itself. And we not only protected our Democratic Senate Majority, but EXPANDED it, completely defying history in the midterms. Why? Because the American people see that Democrats delivered on the issues facing them every single day. We didn't play political games and pick fights like the MAGA Republicans. We delivered. I'm so proud of what we've done -- and it's because of how strong this team is. But make no mistake: Republicans are furious that we won in 2022, and they're going to come back with a vengeance in 2024. We can't let our guard down for a minute.
