One of the lobbyists investigated the intimate personal lives of senior Nature staffers suspected of “extreme Sinophile views.” The group also arranged for unfounded accusations to be published by right-wing news sites. CAMPUS CUTS [Columbia College, in Missouri, to Cut 122 Jobs and Switch 17 Locations to Online]( The liberal-arts college, which has more than 30 locations in 12 states and Cuba, said 65 staff and management employees would be laid off, and 57 positions would not be filled, to deal with a budget deficit.
