The situation has “catastrophic implications,” especially at a time of declining enrollment, one president said. (The State News, The Chronicle) FACULTY [Court Upholds Dismissal of Lawsuit by Yale Instructor Who Rated Trump’s Mental Health]( After Donald J. Trump was elected president, Bandy X. Lee, then an assistant clinical professor of psychiatry at Yale, [spoke out about the dire problems]( that she said he posed. She said she was speaking only for herself, but in 2020, after she [tweeted]( about Trump supporters’ “shared psychosis,” Yale declined to renew her appointment. She sued, but last week the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit [affirmed a district court’s dismissal]( of the case. (Court order, The Chronicle, FIRE) TITLE IX [Education Dept. Resolves Sexual-Harassment Investigation of College in Maryland]( The department’s [Office for Civil Rights said]( that the Takoma/Silver Spring Campus of Montgomery College had largely taken the correct steps in response to sexual harassment of female students by a male professor. But the college did not notify all affected students that its investigation had been completed, that it had confirmed the existence of a hostile environment based on sex, and that it had reversed that environment.
