President Will Move to House a Block From the Philadelphia Campus]( Jason Wingard, who took office in 2021, said he wanted to engage with students and families in the area. The neighborhood has been plagued by crime, including shootings, armed robberies, and home invasions, spurring [complaints and activism]( by students and parents. Settles Lawsuit Seeking Remote-Learning Refunds for $2.5 Million]( Some 9,200 students at the Connecticut university could get a few hundred dollars each as a partial tuition refund for the spring-2020 semester, which was moved online because of the pandemic. The proposed settlement awaits a federal judge’s approval.
