(News release) CAMPUS SPEECH [U.S. Judge Says 2-Year College in California Violated Studentsâ Free-Speech Rights]( The judge in Fresno, Calif., ruled on Friday that Clovis Community College had violated the First and 14th Amendments when it prevented conservative students from posting anti-communist and anti-abortion fliers in campus buildings. Under a settlement, the college will pay $330,000, most of which will go to the studentsâ lawyers, and will adopt a new poster policy.
