CAMPUS UNREST [Police Arrest at Least 25 After Pro-Palestinian Encampments Are Set Up at UCLA]( The University of California at Los Angeles police department said late Monday that the protesters had disrupted final exams and had vandalized campus facilities and vehicles. Unlike the [violent attack by counterprotesters]( against an encampment in April that the campus police allowed to unfold for hours, this week’s protesters were quickly arrested, cited, and released. (CNN, The Chronicle) INTERNATIONAL [4 Instructors From College in Iowa Are Stabbed in China, Officials Say]( The four, from Cornell College, were visiting instructors at Beihua University, in the northeastern city of Jilin, and were attacked on Monday in the city’s Beishan Park. The local police said they had arrested a 55-year-old man who had “collided” with a foreigner, then stabbed that person and three others. The victims were not named, but they were said to be recovering. (The Washington Post) TROUBLED COLLEGE [Paier College, For-Profit Institution in Conn., Faces Reviews by State and by Accreditor]( The tiny college, which is in the midst of an ownership change, has hired no faculty members for the fall, prompting concern among students as well as Connecticut officials and the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges.
