Make a Marriage Resolution
Over the past two weeks or so, many among us have made (and perhaps already broken) New Year's resolutions. According to [Statistica](, the three most common resolutions for 2018 are those same perennial favorites: to eat healthier, exercise more, and save more money.
As a goal-setter myself, I resonate with the desire to be intentional about growth and change. Eating, exercise, and money matters may be the most obvious areas we ought to address, and we have a pretty clear sense of the steps we can take to make progress. But what's less obvious—indeed, sometimes mystifying—is how we can intentionally strengthen our marriages. Sure, there are the typical answers (show more affection, pray with and for each other, and so on), but what if one's marriage is really hurting or extremely dysfunctional? What if there's a lot of pain and resentment? What if you're at the end of your marital rope?
In this week's featured article, "[How 21 Days Changed My Marriage]( Ruth Bell Olsson shares candidly about how she made a resolution when her marriage was at rock bottom—and how that one radical choice slowly began to change everything. Read this week's featured article as you consider how God may be calling you to intentionally pour into your marriage and your spiritual life.
