It’s a deeply unsettling feeling that Americans shouldn’t have to deal with every single day. {NAME}, I’ve written before about my sister’s long struggle with addiction, and the ongoing crisis of opioids like fentanyl that are ravaging and hollowing out communities like mine every single day.  But there are even more common healthcare challenges that working families throughout the nation face daily, especially pressing in Ohio and my district: affording basic healthcare and prescription drugs essential to survival.  I believe that healthcare is a right, but our system is structured and set up to operate as if it were merely a privilege.  Medical debt is a huge driver of bankruptcy. Treatable diseases and disorders impact our mental health, public health, and are a drag on our economy. Our system does not invest in prevention, instead focusing on treatment of problems that have already happened or which require more expensive intervention.  I am proud that President Biden and Democrats in Congress are doing more to address the unfairness in our healthcare system and fight for Medicare to negotiate drug prices with the super wealthy pharmaceutical industry. But fundamentally what we need is more representatives in Congress who actually represent real people, and who know and understand the challenges working people face every day.  As you could have guessed, my opponent shamelessly accepts campaign cash from the Big Pharma lobby, having taken in at least $50,000 just this cycle to his campaign committee and untold sums to his super PAC, which does not have to disclose its donors.  I am asking for your support to flip this seat because the people of my district are suffering and in need, and we can’t afford any more time with representatives who serve lobbyists and corporate donors instead of us, the people. [Can I count on your support for my grassroots campaign? I firmly reject corporate PAC cash and will fight for reforms to help people in need:]( If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately: [Donate $10]( [Donate $25]( [Donate $50]( [Donate $100]( [Donate $250]( [Donate $500]( [Donate another amount]( Donate [another amount]( your impact with a monthly contribution!]( Thank you for your support.  Sincerely,  -Jerrad Jerrad Christian Candidate for Congress (OH-12) [P.S.
