I ran for U.S. Senate ten years ago because I saw too much power in the hands of the few, and working people getting stiffed left and right. [U.S. Senator Chris Murphy] ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ I ran for the U.S. Senate ten years ago because I saw too much power in the hands of the few, and working people getting stiffed left and right. I believed in creating an economy that should give everybody a chance to be great — where luck matters a little less and hard work a little more. Right now, too many Americans are working multiple jobs and still just barely getting by. Americans inputs aren’t matching the outputs. A just economy and democracy means everyone is included on a level playing field — no matter the circumstances you are born into. It also means building a better world for our children. They deserve a livable planet free from hate and violence. We’ve made some progress — including quite a few bipartisan bills that I led, but the truth is, Republicans are only willing to go so far. On guns, Republicans still aren’t willing to ban assault weapons or pass universal background checks. On climate change, almost every single Republican still has their head buried in the sand. On health care, they still let the insurers and drug companies call the shots. And on our freedoms, they want to ban abortion, roll back LGBTQ rights, and undermine fair elections and democracy. These are righteous fights — but they are fights we haven’t fully won yet. That’s why I’m running for reelection. I know that we can’t just protect our progress — we have to build upon it. But I cannot do this alone, so I need to ask: [Will you please consider contributing to my reelection today to keep me in this fight? Every donation will be put to work to help hold this seat and our majority.]( [CONTRIBUTE]( Plenty of people bet against our movement. They thought we couldn’t beat the gun lobby. They said Big Pharma was too powerful. They didn’t think climate action was a winning issue. We proved them wrong on every single one, and it’s just the start. Thank you in advance for your support. Your contribution allows me to spend less time raising money and more time doing the work you elected me to do.
