I absolutely hate asking for money, but until my colleagues join me to pass public financing, it’s a necessary evil to compete with the big money and corporate interests that dominate our politics. But I still try to do things the right way. No PAC or corporate money, and I limit my time on the phone or at fundraising events to only what’s absolutely necessary.
