Plus: Leor's music coverage is back! [View this email in your browser]( [READER Logo]( Daily Reader | March 13, 2024 I’m getting resettled at work after a long vacation, and I find it a little challenging to get reacquainted with my daily routine after avoiding such a thing for weeks. I also find it hard to catch up on what I’ve missed while I was gone, a sensation that wasn’t helped by the pile of political campaign mailers clogging my mailbox. I’ve made a habit of early voting the past handful of elections, so my vacation has left me with a very limited window to visit a polling place before the March 19 primary. I have a pretty good handle on the big races, but I’m a little foggy about the judges who will appear on the ballot. Fortunately, my wife picked up a paper copy of Injustice Watch’s crucial [judicial primary election guide]( which can also be found in the recent Reader issue. I suspect I’ll spend the next few days combing through that guide with my phone’s notes app open . . . once I’m all caught up on my Reader work, that is. ◈ [“BC065: A History of Deep House Page,”]( by Michaelangelo Matos (Beat Connection) ◈ [“Behind F1’s Velvet Curtain,”]( by Kate Wagner (Escape) ◈ [“This Glass, This Drink, This Countertop, Our Bodies,”]( by A.
