Our first-ever Reader tee is out in the world. [View this email in your browser]( Reader – our first-ever Reader tee is out in the world! We created it in collaboration with the Chicago Fashion Coalition and Magnolia Screen Printing, two visionary Chicago nonprofits that share our mission of putting people first. Check it out: [A black t-shirt with an abstract illustration of a person holding up and reading a newspaper. ]( [Support the Reader with a donation of just $10 a month, and we will send you a Reader tee in the mail to say thanks. Your donation will directly support local journalism and help keep the Reader free in every corner of Chicago.]( [DONATE NOW]( The Reader has been covering Chicago fashion for years, but it wasn’t until 2024 that we decided to insert ourselves into the story. Earlier this year, we reached out to the Chicago Fashion Coalition (CFC), a collective of local designers and strategists who see our city as a dominant fashion force. We asked them to design a simple yet striking shirt that represents our ethos of putting people first. They were down and created a few designs. We invited the Reader community to pick a favorite. People voted. And now, thanks to Magnolia Screen Printing, the shirts are in, too. [The next move is yours. Become a monthly donor to get a free Reader tee and support our work elevating important stories about fashion, music, politics, and so much more from every corner of our city.]( [DONATE NOW]( Thanks for your support!
