My parents didn’t have a formal education, but they worked hard to make sure we had enough and gave us every opportunity they could to thrive. Too many families struggle to get ahead, and for a lot of folks, the opportunities I got were always out of reach. The status quo has always been and remains tilted in favor of the wealthy and well-connected, and it’s no accident. Cheri Beasley understands that it’s time to level the playing field for working families, and that’s what she will do as North Carolina’s next Senator. But first, she needs our help to win this race.
