You can find more info [here.](     Happy Monday! Today's Must Read Content Piece: There are a lot of things you need to do consistently well to crush it with your email marketing channel.  If I were to break it down into 4 main categories to focus on, it'd be: - Campaigns - Flows - Segmentation - Deliverability I just wrote a piece on the 4 things within each of these 4 categories you need to be doing.  Here are a few nuggets from it: - When it comes to your email campaigns, timeliness is key. Align your campaigns with holidays, seasons, and events. This relevance boosts engagement. Pro-tip: Utilize real-time data like weather or local events to make your campaigns hyper-relevant and engaging. - For your flows (aka email automations), your Post-Purchase follow-up is everything.  Use this to engage your customers after their purchase with product care tips, related products, and requests for reviews. Super Important: Create a long-term engagement strategy post-purchase, integrating upsells, educational content, and loyalty programs.  [Go read the entire thing here.](  Here are two of the early comments on [this piece:](       Email Marketing Predictions: Here's where I believe email marketing is heading:  - Micro-Targeting with Big Data: Utilize data analytics to deeply understand and segment your audience, creating hyper-specific email campaigns that address each segment's needs and preferences. - Predictive Personalization: Implement machine learning to anticipate future buying patterns. Tailor your email content to these predictions, engaging customers with highly relevant offers and suggestions. - Interactive Email Design: Incorporate technology like AMP to craft interactive emails. This could include features like in-email product customization options, interactive polls, or surveys. - Email Automation with AI Insights: Combine the power of AI with email automation. Utilize AI to analyze customer behaviors and preferences, triggering automated, tailored follow-up emails. - Real-Time Content Updates: Use dynamic content that updates in real-time within your emails. This is particularly effective for time-sensitive offers, stock updates, or news, ensuring the information is always current when the email is opened.   Copywriting Tip of the Week: Got a weird copywriting tip for you this week:  Use broken sentences in your copy.  Start sentences with words like "and” or "but"  It's easier to read.  And easier to understand.  But more importantly:  It makes them keep reading.  This is an example ^^^     Sponsor of the Week:  The BIG Google and Yahoo Email Updates go live in just 2 DAYS!  There are 3 main requirements in this new update: - Email Authentication - One-Click to Unsubscribe - Keep your Spam Rates Low  Email Authentication is the one that most people find confusing, and it's the hardest of the 3 requirements to implement.  That's what I'll focus on👇 Email Authentication is becoming MANDATORY for bulk senders.  You're considered a bulk sender if you send over 5,000 messages to Gmail addresses in one day.  The same goes for Yahoo.  And for most marketers, setting this up can be extremely confusing.  From Google (focused on a user perspective):  You shouldn’t worry about email security standards, but you should be able to confidently rely on an email’s source.  We'll require brands to authenticate their emails following best practices (DMARC, DKIM, SPF).  This will close loopholes exploited by attackers that threaten everyone who uses email.  Most ESPs recommend using 3rd-party tools to prevent implementation errors.  I recommend using [EasyDMARC.](  It’s an email authentication & deliverability platform that simplifies the entire process by providing tools to meet these new standards in just a few clicks.  They also offer an integration with Google Postmaster that monitors your spam rate & delivery issues.  I've asked their team of experts to be ready to assist you if you need help.  As these updates are going into effect in 2 days, and email authentication can be confusing, feel free to contact them for total guidance and support:  [EasyDMARC](     Marketing Visual of the Week: Here's a table that explains the principles of persuasion, the emotional triggers they correspond to, common cognitive biases, and their practical application in marketing campaigns:       Newsletter Transparency: Here are my newsletter stats from last week: - Recipients: 94,854 - Subject Line: 6 types of leads that'll keep your readers hooked to your copy - Preview Text: (WITH EXAMPLES) - Open Rate: 41.90% - CTR: 1.20%     Have a great week and make sure to send some emails! - Chase  P.S. The Flesch readability score uses the average length of your sentences (measured by the number of words) and the average number of syllables per word in an equation to calculate the reading ease. Text with a very high Flesch reading ease score (about 100) is straightforward and easy to read, with short sentences and no words of more than two syllables.
