Here's what I'm seeing regarding email marketing and copywriting this week. This edition is full of tips and resources. So without further ado, let's dive in:     Email Campaign Idea - The Character Email: - Email Examples: - [The Character Email Example 1]( - [The Character Email Example 2](  - Purpose/Context of Email: When you send emails, you likely send them from "the company". When you change up your sender and create a character to deliver a message that you'd typically send from the brand, it makes it more interesting. Do it like this. [Example 1]( is from Disco. This email was sent on behalf of their in-house dermatologist, Dr. Eva. This was how they were able to create the case for their Sunscreen launch last year from a scientific perspective. If it came from the brand, it wouldn't feel as legit. In this case, it looks serious and it feels more authentic. Good email here. [Example 2]( is from Cernucci. This one was sent from one of their team members, Junior. In this case, they didn't use Junior to add credibility. They did it this way to make it look like someone on the team is looking out for the customers — giving them a heads up that they can save money for an upcoming holiday. This makes your brand more relatable and likable. Love this one. - Segment(s): - Your Engaged Subscriber Segment  - Subject Line Idea: - A message from the intern... - A special guest has appeared. - Meet this random team member.  - Preview Text Idea: - We let him do this. Let's not mess it up.  - And he's got a message for you. - He's got something to say.     Sponsor of the Week:  I feel like I'm 30 years old going on 60 years old. I've been so lazy lately and don't have the patience to train and manage people like I used to. As a result, my hiring philosophy has changed. I'm now much more interested in hiring more experienced, more expensive people on a freelance basis. I want to reach the end destination as quickly as possible with as little friction as possible. I've thus shifted to hiring the best freelancers I can find and letting them do their thing. I'm way happier and less stressed now. I've realized when you hire junior and cheaper talent, you pay with time and money. And when you hire senior talent, you pay with money. I've been having a lot of success finding great freelancers on [MarketerHire.]( For those looking to find the best freelance marketers for hire, [go here.](     Podcast Episode: In this episode, Chase Dimond and Cardinal Mason discuss:  - State of the Union Address for DTC - Weird Perks of Having Money - The Pros and Cons of Running A Single Business vs. Multiple Businesses  [Check out this episode here.](     Copywriting Resource of the Week:  The Holy Grail of Copywriting Frameworks  Never write from scratch again ❌  Use one of these frameworks below to “assemble” your copy.  Writing is 10x easier when you do this.       Marketing Resource of the Week: Marketing isn't about closing a sale, it's about opening a relationship.  It's a dialogue, not a monologue.  Through understanding and trust, we build a community, not just a customer base.       Email Marketing Meme of the Week: In 2023, email marketing revenue was estimated at more than 10 billion dollars.       ChatGPT-4 Marketing Prompt: Develop [number] referral marketing ideas that can increase customer acquisition and drive sales for our agency's client.  Context:  Client industry — [client industry here] Target audience — [client's target audience here] Current referral marketing efforts — [describe current referral marketing efforts here]  Inspiration:  "[referral marketing idea one]" "[referral marketing idea two]" "[referral marketing idea three]"  Marketing guidelines:  "[your marketing guidelines here]"     Hire Freelance Copywriters: If you own a business and you’re looking to hire a copywriter: My team at Copy MBA will connect you with one of our dozen-plus, highly trained, and vetted copywriters for FREE to help you grow your business. Flesch reading score measures how complex a text is. The lower the score, the more difficult the text is to read. The Flesch readability score uses the average length of your sentences (measured by the number of words) and the average number of syllables per word in an equation to calculate the reading ease. Text with a very high Flesch reading ease score (about 100) is straightforward and easy to read, with short sentences and no words of more than two syllables. Usually, a reading ease score of 60-70 is considered acceptable/normal for web copy.
