Campaign Idea 1 - The Dry January Email: - Email Examples: - [The Dry January Email Example 1]( - [The Dry January Email Example 2](
Â
- Purpose/Context of Email: If you haven't heard of Dry January, you're not alone. It's kind of a millennial thing. It's an opportunity to start the year sober and commit to not drinking alcohol for at least 30 days. Some brands are in full support of it, and others are helping you find ways around it, as you'll see in these examples. [Example 1]( is from HealthAde, one of the biggest brands in DTC these days. The purpose of this email is to help these sober audience members get their fix without consuming alcohol. They also leveraged some type of accountability by showing that a huge influencer is also participating in Dry January, and you don't have to do it alone. The idea of hosting events online for your audience is such a great way to build a community and really reinforces the willpower some people may need to get through the month. Great messaging here from HealthAde. [Example 2]( is from Winc, and they show the complete opposite side of what you can do with Dry January. Instead of supporting you and trying to help you stay sober, they playfully tell you why you shouldn't. I think that's funny, actually. You gotta know your audience for messaging like this. Winc is known for their banter, and they make it extremely relevant for messaging here. Their audience is made up a bunch of rebels, and I love to see them play into it. Perfect example of how you can take an occasion that every brand is speaking to and put a twist on it to make you stand out. - Segment(s): - Your Engaged Subscriber Segment
 - Subject Line Ideas: - Try dry. - Is it dry in here or is it just January? - Ready for Dry January?

- Preview Text Ideas: - Or...don't. - Let's drink water. - Totally optional. Campaign Idea 2 - The New Year Email: - Email Examples: - [The New Year Email Example 1]( - [The New Year Email Example 2]( Â
- Purpose/Context of Email: In the new year, everyone's trying to do some things a little differently than they did in 2022. It's a great opportunity to support people on their mission to self-betterment and helping them make better choices. There's SO much you can do with this campaign, but these examples will give you a taste of what that looks like. [Example 1]( is from Bravo Sierra. As a brand that speaks mostly to routine and self-improvement, this is an easy one for them. Encouraging people to get into a routine is something that you should definitely do if you sell consumables. Study skincare brands. They ALWAYS talk about how important a good routine is, because it engrains into their audience's mind that they need to buy their products regularly. In a new year's email, it's best to start this messaging early and get your subscribers to hop on a wave. Get momentum early in the year and ride it out, while getting on the brand's subscription program. Wink wink. [Example 2]( is from Colorwow. Here's another example of a brand that talks about how you can improve something about yourself in the name of a new year of opportunity. The messaging is great, but in my opinion, this email has a little too much text. I don't think anyone is reading this. If you take anything from this example, it should be that you can and SHOULD encourage your audience to do things in 2023 that'll make themselves better in one way or another.

Â
- Subject Line Idea:Â - Is it...a new you? - It's time for change. - Be better in 2023.
Â
- Preview Text Idea: - Why not, right? - Here's how to start. - It begins now. Campaign Idea 3 - The Winter Email: - Email Examples: - [The Winter Email Example 1]( - [The Winter Email Example 2]( Â
- Purpose/Context of Email: Winter is hard. People in any state above the Carolinas and Canada are going through a brutal season. As a brand, how can you relate to them through this? How can you provide solutions to the problems caused by winter? Even if it's only slightly related, you can make their season a little bit brighter for them. Use elements from examples like this in your emails when you do it. [Example 1]( is from is Lupii. This is one of the best-designed emails I've seen in a while! The colors are very warm and inviting, and it's super clean-looking. The copy of this email is all about how to stay warm during winter, and their product is positioned as a solution. I think this is genius! I would definitely buy from this email if the claim is true. That's another thing about millennials. They love trying unorthodox solutions to problems that they've had for a while. Love this email. [Example 2]( is from Bobbi Brown. This is an email about how to take care of your hair in the winter. Again, if you can position your product as the best way to cure X problem created by winter, you're gonna win. In this case, women KNOW that their hair gets frizzy and less luscious (couldn't think of a better word here lol) when the temperature drops below 30. This email simply shows which products solve which problems, and it's obviously insanely effective. Great job here. If you wanna make an email like this, make a list of all problems that one may experience in the winter, and then highlight any of those problems if your product can solve them. - Segment(s): - Your engaged segment
Â
- Subject Line Idea:Â - Winter problems, solved. - New season, new problems. - Get through winter with us.
Â
- Preview Text Idea: - We feel your pain. - Here's how to solve em. - It's easy with (brand). That's it! I think these campaigns are great, and I think we're off to a great start for the new year. There's plenty of room to really blow away your audience and make sure they know your brand is on their side.
