I’m talking tons of entire email funnels from many of the top ecommerce brands. [And it’s free!](     Happy Thursday! Here's what I'm seeing regarding email marketing and copywriting this week. This edition is full of tips and resources. So without further ado, let's dive in:     Email Campaign Idea - The Reply For A Discount Email: - Email Examples: - [The Reply For A Discount Email Example 1]( - [The Reply For A Discount Email Example 2]( Purpose/Context of Email: Do you know how good it is for your deliverability if you get subscribers replying to your emails? This is one of the industry’s best-kept secrets. When someone replies to your email, it's more likely they'll receive your future emails in their primary inbox. If you have enough of these, your open rates will go up, and your domain health will improve. These emails are examples of how you can incentivize people to reply. [Example 1]( is from Culprit, on New Year’s Day. Their brand is centered around the party lifestyle and being wild. They used this email to get a ton of responses, and rewarded them with free product. This is more for brand-building and trying to cultivate a rapport with their audience. Obviously they lost money here, but they won over their audience by being super cool and rewarding customers that contributed content. [Example 2]( is from Barbell Cartel. This email is simultaneously driving revenue and boosting engagement. If you have a discount event for your audience and you want to make sure that the most engaged subscribers are being rewarded, you can offer them the discount in a second email. This requires some technical knowledge, but here’s the best way to go about this in my opinion: Set the first email up in your ESP to go to your favorite segment. The reply-to address can be to a certain email address that belongs to your domain, and you can set up an auto reply to give out a discount code. The second email can be as simple as: Hey, thanks for your reply! Use code HOWDY10 for 10% off your next purchase. Easy, right?  Anyone who replied to this email will hopefully get every email from you in their main tab until they decide to unsubscribe.  Segment: - Your Engaged Subscriber Segment  Subject Line Ideas: - Reply to get 10% off! - Send us a smiley face for a discount! - Are you alive? Reply to this for a discount.  Preview Text Ideas: - For real, that's all you need to do. - We'll reward your positivity! - Juuuuust checking in...       Partner of the Week: I put together an insanely good email resource with Replo.  I’m talking tons of entire email funnels from many of the top ecommerce brands.  And the best part?  It’s free!  [Download this free resource here.](     Copywriting Resource of the Week: My 7-Step Process To Create Effective Big Ideas:       Email Marketing Resource of the Week: Here are 8 ways to grow your email list via your social media channels:       Learn from Me (Virtually):   In a few weeks I'm doing a free virtual talk on email marketing and copywriting.  Everyone who signs up will: - Get to learn from me live (virtually) - Receive a free LinkedIn training I'm putting together (you'll get this a few days after the event is over)  [Register for free here.](     Copywriting Resource #2 of the Week:   Getting inside your target’s head is the most crucial part of copywriting.  Here's how to learn everything there is to know about your target:  And then turn it into high-converting copy.  👇👇👇      Copywriting Tip of the Week: Copywriting made simple: - Identify Your Audience (Who) - Action: Create a detailed customer persona with demographics, interests, and pain points. - Understand Their Problem (Why) - Action: Research common challenges using surveys and social media feedback. - Present Your Solution (How) - Action: Highlight key benefits of your product or service that solve the problem. - Craft Your Offer (What) - Action: Develop a compelling offer with unique selling points and incentives. - Guide Them to Act (CTA) - Action: Create a clear call-to-action with action verbs.     I hope you enjoyed this edition. The Flesch readability score uses the average length of your sentences (measured by the number of words) and the average number of syllables per word in an equation to calculate the reading ease. Text with a very high Flesch reading ease score (about 100) is straightforward and easy to read, with short sentences and no words of more than two syllables. Usually, a reading ease score of 60-70 is considered acceptable/normal for web copy.
