See why with their [generous free plan.](     Hey there, Welcome to Edition 125 of Alex In My Inbox. Alex In My Inbox is a weekly copywriting series where I share interesting, actionable, and hilarious copywriting tips from "Alex". Alex is an anonymous copywriter who shares these tips with me so I can share them with you.  Today, Alex has an email for us about a major lesson he learned about life from a dream.  This is a good one.  But first...  Gamma has become my go-to platform for [creating beautiful presentations.](  I've found them to be a modern alternative to PowerPoint that's powered by AI.  Their AI helps you create, design, and refine all your content incredibly fast.  Outside just presentations, you can also use Gamma to create beautiful documents, and they just released a new websites feature.  For anyone who lacks design and coding skills (like me), this is a [tool worth trying.](  They have a generous free plan you can [check out here.](  sponsored Now let's dive into today's edition 👇     Dear Chase,  I had a dream last night.  I was back in high school, and I was playing in the biggest soccer game of the year.  It was my school vs the rival school, and we were tied 2-2.  Clock is running down.  My teammate and I are running up the field, passing back and forth, flying by everyone.  Guys on the other team are falling over trying to keep up with us. It’s a masterclass in passing.  We get all the way up the field on a little duo breakaway.  I pass it to him so he can take this game-winning shot.  He passes it back to me, and I immediately think “oh no, don’t pass it to me. I don’t want the pressure of having to take this shot. I’m not the most competent player on the field. I will mess this up.”I’m panicking.  I literally have a wide open net, but I’m panicking.  Of course, after having that thought, I kick it towards the goal…  And I air it.  It goes right past the post and out of bounds.  Pain. I look like an idiot. The team counted on me and I blew it.  Huge L.  But here’s the thing:  The only reason I missed that shot was because I told myself I would.  I basically manifested that I’d air it.  I did that to myself.  I put doubt in my head that became real.  The moral of the dream is that I didn’t have to do that.  I missed the shot BECAUSE I said I would miss it.  The reality is, I don’t think like that anymore.  When I was a kid playing soccer, those were the thoughts that would creep into my mind. I did not wanna have to be the one to take the game-winning shot, because I would convince myself that I was gonna miss it.  Nowadays, I have a ton of confidence in my ability to do pretty much anything…  BECAUSE of my self-talk before I take some sort of action.  My self-talk is always positive.  I always tell myself I can do stuff.  I always think that I’m the best option to do anything.  I always speak these types of things into the world.  And that is why I’ve had some decent success in copywriting, and generally in life.  I’ve learned that success starts in the mind.  It is imperative that you believe you can actually do something before you start to do it.  I remember when I first started doing outreach when I started copywriting.  When I started, I didn’t really believe that it was a real thing. I was just going through the motions with my fingers crossed, hoping I hadn’t been lied to about the idea of reaching out to business owners to pay me money.  But once I got my first reply to a cold email, I realized that this WAS a real thing, and I COULD do this.  I had conviction.  My self-talk was much more positive.  I knew that I was capable of making this work.  And a few weeks after I started thinking like that, I started getting paid for my work.  It was almost magic the way that I spoke it into existence.  My mentality literally dictated reality.  I watched it happen.  The lesson here is you can control your self-talk, and you self-talk can control your destiny.  And when you have a chance to take a game-winning shot (in any endeavor), you best believe that you’re gonna put that thing right in the back of the net.  Yours truly,  Alex.  Sent from my Fox 40 whistle (they call me the referee cuz I be so official 🎶🎤)    I’m Back in Town After an Amazing Week:  I spent the past week in LA filming something really cool with Iman Gadzhi's team. We got some great content and his team is world class. It was awesome! Here's a cool behind the scenes photo from this week. (with more info to come soon) And starting next week, I'll finally be back on track with my weekly newsletters.      Worth Checking Out:  AI this, AI that. AI blah blah blah.  Everyone is pushing AI left and right, but the reality is that it’s overwhelming.  It’s incredibly difficult to know what’s worth the time and effort and what isn’t.  As an ecommerce marketer, I wanted to share 5 quick lessons from an ecommerce brand called Clove on how they’re adopting [Yuma AI for Customer Service:](  ❌ Try to use AI everywhere at once ✅ Figure out what you want AI to do first and start small  ❌ Expect AI to just start working just because you paid for it ✅ Dedicate someone from your team to lead the integration  ❌ Wait for others to prove AI until you’ve fallen behind ✅ Don’t be afraid to start and take calculated risks  ❌ Adopt AI in a silo while teammates guess what’s next ✅ Get Buy-In from the entire Team  ❌ Proceed thinking AI is a plug-and-play system ✅ AI is Not Plug and Play; It’s a partnership journey Clove became one of the fastest-growing brands through the fast adoption of innovative tech.  They achieved a 3x ROI and 25% cost savings in 3 months by automating 40% of their total support tickets with [Yuma AI.](   Thanks to my partner Yuma AI for their support.      I hope you enjoyed this week's Alex In My Inbox edition. Text with a very high Flesch reading ease score (about 100) is straightforward and easy to read, with short sentences and no words of more than two syllables.
