Hey {NAME}, I've been quiet for a few months. I've been writing an article a week for eight years straight. Your boy needed a break. It was nice to use that energy instead to start new projects and start planning for the wedding. The break also gave me some space to figure out if I wanted to keep writing or not. It was an easy yes. I once read that one of your goals as a human should be to try to lessen the suffering of others. Everything I write about is from my own experience. That experience comes from making mistakes. Some of my mistakes have caused me to suffer. I'm hoping it'll make me a better human if I share some of my experience with you, so you don't have to go through as much pain. One more thing - thank you. You challenge me to keep learning, growing, and to be a clearer thinker. Leverage Yourself With The Productivity Flywheel Everyone has the same 24 hours in a day, but we all have different results in life. People told me growing up that the key to life was hard work and education. It helps, but I knew that wasn't the complete picture. I have a different theory instead: the key is being able to manage your resources and to create leverage. I figured out this concept from playing games like Age of Empires and Starcraft growing up. I've created a framework that I called the Productivity Flywheel. It's one of the best articles I've ever written. You should read it. Read: [The Productivity Flywheel - a System for Getting Exponentially More Work Done]( [image] Some Thoughts About the COD-19 Virus It's been interesting watching how the COVID-19 virus has played out over the past few weeks. I've been taking it seriously because I was in Asia in January. I saw the dread and the fear when I had a layover in China. Make sure you're getting your information from credible sources. I'm learning from the [Center of Disease Control](, [John Hopkin's](, and [Fallen the Curve](. There are way too many idiots spreading false information, and making jokes about this out there. I haven't really stocked up. When you're a hardcore Costco shopper, you always tend to have too much stuff. I've canceled all of my trips over the next few months. The hotels and airlines have been great when it comes to refunds and travel credits. Me and my fiance are doing some social distancing from others. I guess I have time to catch up on my Netflix backlog, and play Sekiro again on PS4. I'm not worried about catching it and suffering. I'm thinking about my parents who are in their 60's. I'm thinking about my 1 year old nephew. I'm worried about catching it, spreading it to the vulnerable, and them dying. I'm thinking a lot about the economy. What are the 2nd and 3rd order consequences from all this? A recession is coming. We've had a booming, bull economy for the past 11 years, yet most people are still living paycheck to paycheck. Not all people or small businesses can survive not having any customers for the next few weeks. I'm not going to get a massage or a haircut for a while, and I know I'm not the only one thinking that. Bankruptcy and financial issues are going to screw more people over than the virus itself. I haven't checked my stock portfolio yet but I'm sure it's a blood bath. Remember: You don't lose money until you sell. The economy always bounces back. I'm going to do some reading about the 2008 recession over the weekend. I am spending a lot of time thinking about how a recession would affect the internet marketing space and e-commerce. Most of us entered this industry after the last recession 2008. Maybe I'll share some thoughts when it's the right now. It'll be harder to convert when people won't have as much disposable income. Supply chains are being disrupted as we speak. But when there's obstacles, there's even more opportunity. Stay safe out there. Talk soon, Charles [Unsubscribe]( AFFcelerator, LLC 199 E Flagler St #398 Miami, Florida 33131 United States
