Hello there, I’m thrilled to share with you two huge updates from Chargebee. First, today we’re launching [RevenueStory]( a brand new product from Chargebee that changes the way you consume and act on your subscription metrics in a way that’s easy, accessible, and incredibly powerful. And second, we have made the fully-featured standard plan of RevenueStory free forever for all our paying customers. We have currently opened RevenueStory to customers on the Rise, Scale, and Enterprise Plans. For all the other paying customers of Chargebee, we will be rolling out access to RevenueStory to users in Admin, Owner, and Finance roles over the next few weeks. In the meantime, please check out the [RevenueStory]( website for more information, and let us know if you’d like to jump ahead of the waitlist or get a personalized demo. What’s the idea behind RevenueStory? As a subscription business, you probably already use some products that help you analyze your subscription data. And yet, we made a separate product through RevenueStory—because we believe better subscription analytics drive better organizational decisions. And we’re not just saying that. Over the last 4 years, we’ve spent innumerable hours working with fast-growing businesses like yours, helping them identify meaningful patterns in subscription metrics to derive strategies, and learning from them along the way. And we’ve noticed that quite often the businesses that are able to massively scale are the ones that use revenue metrics to connect the dots and make better decisions, rather than numbers crunched and locked in the finance cubicles. But, most importantly, we believe that by weaving RevenueStory closely with Chargebee's roadmap, we will be able to deliver more value to you and in turn, increase your ability to deliver a better experience to your customers. What does it mean for you? A big (and overlooked) problem with most analytics tools is that they overload you with data instead of highlighting the insights they bring. We believe you don’t need more data right now—what you need is answers to your business questions. Your ideal intelligence tool should guide you through the right questions so that you can surface the answers you need to make decisions. RevenueStory attempts to help you frame the narrative around the evolution of your revenue, by looking at your data from multiple perspectives—across subscribers, your product plans, and how it all ties back to your revenue information. What kind of questions does RevenueStory answer? RevenueStory can help you dive in and understand where your revenue is coming from and where it is leaking. Start by seeing how much faster your business is growing than it’s shrinking. Investigate to point out if your customers are churning because of a messaging and sales problem, or if there’s a scaling issue in your product you hadn’t noticed yet. See how well your freemium experiments are working, and what marketing opportunities you can capitalize on to boost your growth. We’d love to hear your thoughts and feedback. And more importantly, we’d love to learn the kind of insights and stories you build out of your RevenueStory. Please write back to me or to support@revenuestory.io for any questions related to RevenueStory. Flesch reading score measures how complex a text is. The lower the score, the more difficult the text is to read. The Flesch readability score uses the average length of your sentences (measured by the number of words) and the average number of syllables per word in an equation to calculate the reading ease. Text with a very high Flesch reading ease score (about 100) is straightforward and easy to read, with short sentences and no words of more than two syllables. Usually, a reading ease score of 60-70 is considered acceptable/normal for web copy.
