Instead, we bum a light from the Scorpio Sun to kindle our jack-o-lanterns, our hearth fires, our altar votives. It’s a season where the membrane is said to thin between this plane and the next, where we’re closer than usual to our beloved dead and ancestors. If you’re grieving someone or something, this season may inspire you to work with that mourning. To materialize it through acts of ritual and offering. Scorpio is a fixed sign, and because a lot of the astrological turbulence is focused on fixed signs right now, this season will involve some lurches, starting on October 30th, when the Sun squares Saturn.
