Hey, Friend! I have decided to make a major change to the podcast. I explain the decision plus what you can expect in today’s episode. It’s Friday morning as I’m writing this, and I’m already getting tons of feedback - some in support - some not so much. And that’s OK. Please know the decision was not made lightly, in fact, you can hear the decision making process as Bret and I reviewed that on today’s show. Friends, don’t put off that medical appointment! ✅ mammogram ✅ annual OB/GYN ✅ colonoscopy Btw - March is colorectal cancer awareness month and I finally got my first one. I’d been putting it off for years, afraid of all the prep-horror stories I’d heard about. I’m here to tell you…it’s NO big deal! With the recommended screening-age dropping to 45, yes, I was definitely behind (no pun intended). The prep these days is way less traumatic than it used to be, and the procedure itself is as simple as can be. You take a little nap, and it’s over. The hardest part for me was not knowing I couldn’t drink any water beforehand and getting sent home for two hours like a 2nd grader who got into trouble at school. Oops! So, if a little dehydration is the worst part, I’d say ya’ll need to book your appointments today! My colonoscopy and yearly mammogram are why Bret and I are back in California for a bit. And to visit our kids and Bob, of course. Now, I don’t consider myself a celebrity by any stretch, but about once a week, someone will recognize me (or my voice) and maybe ask for a quick photo. Which I *usually* love. Well, this week, it happened more than once, and while my clothes were off, at said MD appointments. #onlyme (Listen to the full hilarious story, plus a few more about laxatives, pap smear prep and drinking too much [here](). [image]() It’s funny how certain topics, even though they are very human, can make us squirm or blush. Obviously, sex is one of those and the specific topic of female pleasure takes top billing. Sometimes it feels like people are so open about this topic that it’s a bit off putting… #TMI My hope is simply to help you feel comfortable enough, and even have the right words to have this conversation on a regular basis with your significant other. I would love for you to listen in to a conversation with Wednesday's expert on the topic of: female pleasure with Alisa DiLorenzo. (Listen to the full episode [here](). When I first started these types of interviews, there were certain taboo words and topics that were difficult for me to talk about without feeling a little uncomfortable. [image](=) What I realized was: these conversations shouldn’t be embarrassing. (PS - this blouse is from Alice and Olivia) Here are few of the topics we discussed: - Why is sex a taboo subject for many people - Why it is important to shed light on all aspects of pleasure - Speaking about sex and having sex is important for mental, sexual, and physical health - Why having conversations about sex and pleasure leads to deeper partner relationships - Knowing your own anatomy is crucial in being comfortable with sex - Why being raised in a religious household may make it difficult to discuss the topic of sex Lastly, since we’re traveling coast to coast the next two weeks, I’ve stocked up on all of my favorite supplements that fight jet lag and keep my sleep on point. If daylight savings time is still messing with you, or, you simply need to improve your sleep...I’ve got a hookup for you! There’s a great sale on my ‘sleepi’ obsession: My Soul CBD. [Just use this link]() for 15% off (and get the best night’s sleep of your life)! Ladies…imagine what your life would be like if you felt well-rested AND you got in tune with your body, your desires and your partner. I believe you’d be unstoppable! Life’s too short to sit on the sidelines, so my hope for you today is that you prioritize yourself. Your voice matters. Your feelings matter. Your health matters! I encourage you to put yourself at the top of your list this week. Yes, above your spouse and kids for once. Love you, mean it! Chalene P.S. If you haven’t listened to today’s Chalene Show about the podcast changes, be sure to catch it. If you’re a regular listener, the announcement will affect you. I explain it in great detail, and I hope that processing my decision helps YOU make choices in your own life that bring you peace.
