Hey , 1. FAVORITE FIND OF THE WEEK: For my heel-loving girlies: I get asked all the time what super comfy heel I managed to wear through the cobblestone streets of Europe. Here she is! They might not be the sleekest or the sexiest shoes, but I could run 10 miles in these puppies! I’ve tried every other sensible nude heel on the market. After three years of wearing her - I can affirm: none compare. [My Melissa heels](=) are literally the ATV (all-terrain vehicle) of heels. They’re made from a super soft, flexible material that’s eco-friendly, waterproof, and skin tone so they elongate your leg. You can wear them all day without pain. The design is super sleek and virtually timeless, with a silhouette that goes with anything from casual shorts to a night out. When I know I will have to do a ton of walking on uneven terrain or when I can only pack 1 pair of heels - she’s my pick. 2. WHAT I'M LISTENING TO: I recently read [This Naked Mind: Control Alcohol, Find Freedom, Discover Happiness & Change Your Life by Annie Grace](, and it completely shifted the way I view alcohol. As someone who has openly talked about my love of champagne, I was very reluctant to read this book. But after hearing someone I adore rave about how this book changed her life, I downloaded the Audible while on vacation. Annie Grace does an incredible job of breaking down the myths and conditioning around alcohol that many of us don’t even realize we’ve internalized. This is a must-read/listen for anyone who is on a journey to be their best and evaluate their relationship with alcohol. This book will help you understand why we drink and how we can regain control without feeling deprived. Recently, I started to reevaluate my relationship with alcohol, especially after noticing how it affected my mood, anxiety levels, and even my sleep while traveling through Europe. This Naked Mind was the non-judgmental voice I needed to hear. Annie Grace’s approach isn’t about scaring you straight; it’s about empowering you to make informed decisions about what you’re putting into your body. If you’re brave enough to question whether alcohol is helping you or holding you back, this book will help you find that answer. I highly recommend [giving it a listen]() and seeing how it resonates with you. 3. LET'S TALK ABOUT IT: [This week on the podcast](), I got real about my relationship with alcohol and the eye-opening new science surrounding the impact it has on our body and brain. While on a trip through Europe, I started to notice some not-so-cute ways I had been drinking. It’s kinda embarrassing, but I’ve always been an open book, so of course I had to tell you about it. In fact, it was the way I was drinking on vacation that prompted me to order the book I recommended above. That forced me to look at some newer research I had been ignoring far too long. 😳😳😳 What I discovered has made me completely rethink how alcohol fits into my life. As much as I want to be someone who enjoys moderate drinking, if I were to choose to do so, I would have to knowingly accept that it comes with an increased cancer risk, a smaller brain, leaky gut, and impaired muscle recovery. Right now you’re probably thinking one of two things: - I don’t want to hear this. - Duh. How could you just be realizing this?! I’ve had both of those thoughts in the last two weeks. On July 17th I decided to give up alcohol. Will it be for 30 days? 100 days? For good? You’ll have to listen and find out. If you are also wondering if there is a way to indulge on occasion and still be healthy, or if some drinks are healthier than others, I encourage you to listen. This episode is all about laying out the facts and taking a closer look at your habits. I’m documenting my journey and sharing updates on [Patreon]() because I believe in being fully transparent with you.
