Oct. 7 is propelling many people to fortify their souls, to learn more about G-d and to practice His mitzvos. [Chabad.org]( By the Grace of G‑d 20 Kislev, 5784 Dear Friend, People all across the globe are celebrating “[Rosh Hashanah of Chassidism]( now (19-20 Kislev/Dec. 2-3) with personal and communal learning, and public gatherings of inspiration and mutual well-wishing and blessing. Drawing from the Torah’s inner, or “secret” dimension as organized by Chabad’s system of advanced philosophy, people are nurturing and fortifying their souls, learning more about G-d and about how we are to have a relationship with Him. In fact, at Chabad.org we are witnessing an unprecedented surge of such spiritual seekers right now. Because it’s such an auspicious time and so many are searching, I am writing now to [ask you for your help](. All of these people can really use your help! You see, a chunk of this phenomenon is connected to the unfathomable barbarity of Oct. 7. The raw, searing pain of the Jewish people everywhere has shaken so many of us to our core and elicited a primal, inarticulable awakening of our souls’ deepest depths, and a yearning for oneness with all Jews! So wave after human wave flocks now to Chabad.org (in 8+ languages…) in search of meaning amid the chaos, for some insight and consolation, and for a path forward. Many feel they need this holy energy to even just wake up in the morning. But going forward, please G-d, what they learn here will help them thrive. For once the Jewish soul is fortified, once its essential spark is coaxed into a steady flame, there are no limits to the heights to the heights to which it can soar, and to the miracles it can achieve! Like the one pure, undefiled jug of olive oil in the Chanukah story! So in honor of this special day, plus Chanukah’s quick approach, would you please contribute generously to nurture and fortify countless special “flames”? May I suggest you give $180, or $360, perhaps $540? Any amount that fits your budget and expresses your passion for Jewish life, Jewish wisdom and Jewish practice that repairs the world. Every dollar will be put to good use! Here’s our secure giving page where you can donate today: [Chabad.org/give]( Because people need you now more than ever. Everyone is looking for that little oil to light up so much darkness. You can help them find it. You can make sure it is lit for them. This is why we’re turning to you now with this special request. If you are able, [could you please give now?]( Chabad.org is the world’s biggest and most active Jewish website. It is for many millions the go-to place for Jewish information and life tools. It serves as an oasis, a lifeline to serenity, to meaning, to G-d's timeless wisdom. Your donation will help fortify this priceless treasure house of Jewish wisdom and living so we can meet the surging, post-Oct. 7 Chanukah-like demands. We need to help each person individually. For each is an entire world, and each has that miraculous Chanukah oil inside of them. [Your donation to Chabad.org]( will help provide them with sustenance to satiate and nurture their minds and their hearts, and to nurture and fortify their souls. It is the friendship and partnership of people like you -- people who understand the power of timeless Jewish wisdom and inspiration, that allows us to be there for them. As we near the end of the fiscal year 2023, we really need to close our books STRONG, so we can meet all the urgent and growing needs. This will happen only through your kindness, coupled with the kindness of others. (And then we can start the next fiscal year fully ready.) Your donation is tax-deductible for 2023 if you give by December 31. But even if you don’t plan to itemize your tax return, we hope you’ll give now. Because we are most concerned about helping other people in need. Please give here: [Chabad.org/give]( If you'd like to send a check, please do so here: Chabad.ORG | 770 Eastern Parkway Suite 405 | Brooklyn, NY 11213 Please also remember Chabad.org in your will. Giving is always a great thing. It’s a great way to celebrate Rosh Hashanah of Chassidism. It’s a great way to prepare for Chanukah. It’s a great way to end the fiscal year. And it’s a great way, of course, to bring immense merit to our brethren who are putting their lives on the line to protect the rest of us! It is a mitzvah that will fill your heart with joy and fulfillment. With that in mind, let’s all [pray to G-d that He]( protect and heal our brethren in the Holy Land; guard each of our selfless IDF soldiers, and crown their efforts with success to achieve a truly long-lasting peace; and bring all of our captive brothers and sisters home safely and swiftly to their families. [PLEASE DONATE NOW!]( On behalf of the countless Chabad.org beneficiaries worldwide, I wish you a meaningful 19-20th of Kislev, a successful year of inner growth through the teachings of Chassidism, and a Happy Chanukah!
