There is a cry we hear at Chabad.org during this season... [Chabad.org]( By the Grace of G-d 21 Elul, 5783 Year of Hakhel Dear Friend, Rosh Hashanah (“Head of the New Year”) is just about a week away! (Sept.15-17) Very soon, we will hear the heart-stirring blasts of the Shofar (sounded this year only on the second day of Rosh Hashanah, Sept. 17). The Shofar’s cry… …proclaims G‑d as King of the world; …evokes G‑d’s giving us the Torah on Mt. Sinai amid the shofar’s blast; …awakens our slumbering souls from complacency; …echoes the cries of the prophets, urging us to return to G‑d; …heralds the “great shofar” sound upon the imminent arrival of Moshiach — to call together the Jewish people scattered across the world. There is another cry we hear at Chabad.org during this season — a plea from millions seeking timeless inspiration, wisdom and guidance. Today, I am asking you for help because they’re turning to us with questions like: - How can I feel part of the holidays when I feel all alone in this world? - I don't identify with the prayers at synagogue most of the time. What can I do? - Can you help me learn about my tradition and my culture? - The world feels so scary now. How can I live the right kind of life and be calm and happy? - Do you have a prayerbook with the special Rosh Hashana Services? - My doctor advised me not to fast this Yom Kippur. How can I do the service properly? You can help them. Right now. Because just as the Shofar lifts up our souls to a new year, we have the ability to uplift the spirits of so many people searching for answers and connection. Please [join our High Holidays campaign]( by giving generously to keep Chabad.org operating at full capacity — with the staff and technology necessary to be there for all who turn to us.
