When we do a good deed, a mitzvah, a G-dly act, miracles follow. By the Grace of G‑d 19 Kislev

When we do a good deed, a mitzvah, a G-dly act, miracles follow. [Chabad.org]( By the Grace of G‑d 19 Kislev 5783 - Dec 13, 2022 Dear Friend, Today is 19 Kislev, the “[Rosh Hashanah of Chassidism]( when [Rabbi Schneur Zalman]( of Liadi was freed from his imprisonment in Czarist Russia for revealing the inner dimension of Torah to the masses. Many miracles happened before, during, and after this watershed event in Jewish history, including the miracle of the deep and widespread impact of his revolutionary Chabad chassidic school of thought. On this special day, I am writing to ask for your help. Because when we do a good deed, a mitzvah, a G-dly act, G-d's miracles follow. This is actually one of the lessons that the Chanukah story teaches us: There was only enough oil to light the Temple Menorah for a single day. But the Jewish people lit it – and it miraculously lasted for eight days. (For much more about Chanukah and to help you get ready, [click here]( On this special day and as Chanukah comes closer, I hope you can apply this lesson to do a good deed right now: Can you please contribute generously to keep the special “flame” going? May I suggest you give $180, or $360, perhaps $540? Any amount that fits your budget and expresses your passion for Jewish life, Jewish continuity, and Jewish practice that repairs the world. Your gift will keep our Chabad.org servers going strong through Chanukah -- as the fiscal year ends -- and far into 2023. Here’s our secure giving page where you can donate today: [www.chabad.org/give]( Many people all over the world -- especially young people -- are eager to find out about Chanukah, about the Torah, about the Torah’s deeper meaning and its application, and about Jewish practice and wisdom. This year especially has been tumultuous for so many people. War in Ukraine. Unrest elsewhere. Inflation. Other economic challenges. Rising antisemitism. These things are driving people to earnestly seek meaning and find answers to essential questions about life. Traffic at Chabad.org is soaring. So many people are seeking authenticity. Calming and reassuring insight. Spiritual fortification. This is why I’m turning to you now with this special request. If you are able to, please can you give now?? Think about the people your kindness will touch. Like this young man named Josh, who wrote to us recently: My great-grandfather fled Poland when he was young. He would end up changing his last name three times. By the time it came to me, I grew up without any Jewish traditions or teachings. Now my closest Synagogue is an hour away. If it wasn't for Chabad.org’s clear teachings and your Rabbis answering my questions, I'd be completely cut off from my heritage. Josh is someone who cherishes his Jewish heritage, yet he struggles to connect and learn. He wants to keep his flame bright! His story is repeated again and again. You probably know someone like him. People who want to grow, connect, learn, and be inspired. He just needs that connection. From a trusted resource, staffed by our loving and knowledgeable rabbis, teachers, and counselors. Would you help Josh – and the many others like him? Click through to our secure, quick giving page to give right now: [www.chabad.org/give]( Your donation will strengthen and expand this online source of Jewish wisdom. If now is not a good time for you to give -- I understand. Please do not feel at all pressured! Chabad.org is the world’s biggest and most active Jewish website. It is THE go-to place for Jewish information and life tools. For many, it serves as their oasis, their lifeline to serenity, to meaning, to G-d's timeless wisdom. It’s about connecting and helping one person at a time. One searching student. One struggling parent. One elderly holocaust survivor. One curious person interested in the knowledge of G-d. Your donation to Chabad.org reaches them all with trustworthy, useful, easy-to-find information. Online relationship with a counselor. Torah wisdom to uplift and illuminate life... We can only be there for them because of the partnership and care of friends like you who understand the power of Jewish wisdom. And like Rabbi Schneur Zalman’s struggles against all odds, we wish to make the Torah's deepest insights, life's deepest secrets, available and accessible to all. As we come to the end of the fiscal year 2022, we must close our books STRONG. The only way that will happen is through the kindness of you and others. And then we can start 2023 fully ready! If you’ve received anything you value from this online resource -- if your life is better, deeper, and more equipped -- then please, “pay it forward” so others can get the help they seek, too. Your giving will help someone overcome the crisis of their life. You'll help someone achieve their purpose. You'll help repair our broken world, one question, one person at a time ... Your donation is tax-deductible for 2022 if you give by December 31. But even if you don’t plan to itemize your tax return, I hope you’ll give now. Because we are most concerned about helping other people in need. Please give here: [www.chabad.org/give]( [PLEASE DONATE NOW!]( Giving is a great way to end the fiscal year. It is a mitzvah that will fill your heart with joy, and a great way to welcome the months and years to follow. On behalf of the countless Chabad.org beneficiaries worldwide, I wish you a meaningful 19th of Kislev, a successful year of inner growth through the teachings of Chassidism, and a Happy Chanukah!
